2025 FALL HOME TOUR || ENTRY, DINING ROOM, AND LIVING ROOM

Last week I shared my colorful Fall Patio with you, today why don't you come on inside for a tour? I'll show you around the Entry, Dining Room, and Living Room where I concentrated my Fall decorations.  This year rather than using bold Fall colors as I've usually done in the past, I wanted something just a bit calmer but still different than traditional Fall colors.  I've had a blush pink and tan/brown color combo rolling around in my head that I've wanted to experiment with, so that's what I went with!

I also just wanted an overall warm and cozy feel, but you know I still have to layer in the colors and patterns even if I was trying to "tone it down" a bit.  I still want it to be intersting, fun, and whimsical!

I only did one little craft as I set out my decorations this year- I bought these velvet mushrooms last year at Hobby Lobby (not sure if they had them again this year or not) and they are so good but I was struggling with how to use them.  They just weren't working right anywhere I tried them. Earlier this Fall, I saw this darling tablescape from a sweet gal I enjoy following in Instagram (scroll to her 2nd photo) and noticed she had some adorable similar mushrooms on her table that had dots on the top.  I'm sure hers are much more high end than mine, but it gave me the idea to do a little makeover!  I used a squirt bottle of fabric paint that I already had and added the dots to the top.  The original base looked a little sad too, so I also hot glued some green spanish moss over that to beef it up a bit and add a small pop of color.  I'm totally in love with them now and used all 4 that I have in different spots around the house.

I also got happy with the garden clippers and cut a lot of this pink flower to put in vases and use- perfect for my "blush pink" that I wanted to mix in!  It's called Gomphrena and comes in loads of different colors, but my sister grew some pink ones from seed earlier this year and shared 2 little sprigs with me.  I planted them in June-ish and they have just exploded! (One friend on IG shared that they can be invasive and spread like crazy, just FYI if you're interested in trying it.)  The flower is a straw type pod so I'm expecting these to basically dry in place and still look pretty all through the season.

I also pulled out these vintage fishing lures that belonged to Ray's Grandad.  They are wooden and I think they are so beautiful (but the hooks on them are bears! definitely had to handle with care), I put them all in a couple of glass apothecary jars to display.  They are normally on the shelves in our office but they felt like Fall so I mixed them in too.

I've mentioned this in the past but years ago I bought a fur coat at a thrift store that didn't fit and had a few damaged spots.  I used most of it to cover these stools, but it had a beautiful collar that I cut off and it's just the right size for my Diana bust.  I like pulling her out in Fall just so I can use that- ha!

I kept the Dining Room table very simple, I'll be setting it for Thanksgiving soon (side note- super excited about this year's table! Want a preview next week of what I'm using?). Grateful for a neighbor who doesn't mind me clipping magnolia branches!

I bought a couple of these fabulous rattan pumpkins this year and they couldn't be better.  I think they look like they came straight out of a Serena & Lily catalog, but they didn't and they're even currently on sale! I've had the large acorn for years and repainted it from brown to white and gold.  I picked up the pretty block print table runner on our recent trip on a stop at a Williams Sonoma outlet.

Something in this view of the Dining Room is getting a little change by the time I post my Thanksgiving table, stay tuned for that!

The last stop on today's tour is the Living Room.  I just focused on a few spots and switched out the pillows and I think I achieved the "cozy" feel that I wanted!

More magnolia branches on the mantel and I switched out the shades I've had on the lamps all Summer for these natural scallop ones.  I got them from At Home several years ago and added the cord trim.  This is the size "large" rattan pumpkin like the taller one above, can't recommend them enough.

And the lamps were begging for a bow!

We flipped one of the couches and these chairs so they are facing the windows now.  Hard to photograph but they are a true hot pink and I love the little metal shade scallop lamp from Hobby Lobby that I got for Christmas last year.

The star of the coffee table is a huge bunch of the Gomphrena.  I love how wild and rambling it is!

With the couch/chairs switch the bamboo console table got moved behind the couch in the window, I have a post about the lamps and shades here. The black and white stools normally roll under the console, but I switched them for the Fall season with the green stools that are normally in this spot. I dug through my pillow cover stash and pulled out this combo, loving it!

One last little corner with some hints of Fall- my (free to me!) vintage chest.

I didn't think the rattan pumpkins could be any cuter, but sure enough!  A polka dot bow accomplished the challenge! I sprinkled in a few little ceramic mushrooms (originally seen in my Entry here) that also got a color makeover with this new paint color I tried and liked!

So there you go!  So glad you stopped by for the tour today.  Next week I'll share how my Fall Porch turned out with you.  Have a fun, safe evening if you are escorting or passing out candy for little trick or treaters, and enjoy your weekend!  And BTW, check back in this weekend because I still plan to post this week's Friday Favorites even though it will be Saturday. That's how it's going around here... ha!
