When I share any photos that show my blue and white curtains, I'm often asked for sources. I made all of my drapery myself, so I don't have exact sources to share. I have shared fabric names and similar ready made drapery options in the past, several years ago I wrote a post sharing all of the information. However, availability has changed since then and I wanted to update that post to be able to share some current sources. So, here's my updated blue and white curtains source guide! I'll start by saying that most of the fabric I used seems to have since been discontinued, or difficult to find in a web search. If you have access to decorator fabric warehouses these exact prints might still be found in those or local shops. I'll share the fabric info. again so it's accessible if you're searching and I've included some similar fabrics that are available online below. The fabric I used in the Living Room and Breakfast Nook is a Vern Yip......

2022 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR | MASTER BEDROOM
Hello friends, welcome to my first home tour to kick off the 2022 Christmas season! Unlike most bloggers, I'm just now getting my decorations up, so we're in the same boat if you are too. The rest of the house is still in disaster mode, but our Master Bedroom is all festive and ready! I'm so happy to be participating in the Holiday Home Tour hosted by Jenny from Evolution of Style . Don't miss her pretty Christmas porch, I'm soaking it in as I'm headed out to decorate my own porch today. If you're new here today or visiting from Sincerely Marie Designs , welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm drooling over every one of Amanda's photos, her style is so classic and welcoming! Just the vibe I'm going for in the rest of my home this year for Christmas... but my bedroom is bright and bold! You'll see a little different style next week as I share more of my Christmas home tour, but I decorated my bedroom this year in the style you......

2021 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR PART 4: MASTER BEDROOM
I honestly don't know how this Christmas season is flying by so quickly... of course it feels that way every year but this year especially. How is Christmas just a little over a week away!?! I'm actually still decorating- one room left to go that I'll share with you tomorrow- and don't even ask if I'm anywhere close to being done with my shopping! Yikes... so much for being on top of things this year! However, my bedroom is clean and pretty and decorated so that's a win! I'm so glad to be sharing our Master Bedroom Christmas tour with you today! ...

SPRING HOME TOUR PART 3- BREAKFAST NOOK, KITCHEN, AND BEDROOM
Today I'm sharing a few more Spring photos with you of my Breakfast Nook, Kitchen, and Bedroom. These might not officially be "Spring Tour" photos as much as just an opportunity to take a fresh round of photos... nothing especially new or extra special, just sprucing up these spaces!...

IT'S A COLORFUL LIFE SUMMER TOUR 2020- PART 2: DINING ROOM, MASTER BEDROOM AND MORE
Welcome back for Part 2 of my It's a Colorful Life Summer Tour! Thank you so much for your sweet response to Part 1 of my tour, and I'm glad you all are enjoying the other colorful Summer home tours this week. Today I'll be sharing a few other spaces in our home with you, starting with the Dining Room. This space got a pretty good refresh of most of the major pieces last year, but I recently repainted the china cabinet a slightly deeper shade of green and switched out the artwork. ...

SPRING MASTER BEDROOM REFRESH
Did you know that today is National Sleep Day? I'd venture to say we all could use a good night's sleep after the week we've had, right? There's nothing like climbing into a crisp, comfy bed at the end of the day. Yesterday I spent a bit of time freshening up our Master Bedroom for Spring, and even with all of the uncertainty going on in the world right now it's nice to have a cozy little refuge here! ...

BLUE AND WHITE DRAPES SOURCE GUIDE
I have 3 sets of blue and white drapes in my home and am often asked where I got them. Since I make my own draperies, I never have a good answer for that! So, I decided to scour the internet and put together a source guide for you if you're shopping for blue and white curtains. **There is an updated version of this post here with currently available sources. To start with, though, I'll share my fabric sources just in case you're handy with a sewing machine too and would like to make your own (it's really not hard, I shared a tutorial here ). The first set of blue and white drapes I added to my home were in my bedroom. I just love this fabric and it looks good everywhere I've seen it! Duralee "Kalah" Fabric When I changed from black and white to blue and white curtains in the main part of the house, I made these spotted/brush stroke panels for the Dining Room . This is such a fun, versatile fabric! Madcap Cottage Mill for Robert All......

When you're ready, let's go ahead and take a look at the Entry, Dining Room, and Master Bedroom today. (*This post contains affiliate links, read my full disclosure policy here .) The Entry dresser didn't change too much from my Spring Tour , I've really just been switching out the flowers or a plant as needed. ...

NATIONAL MAKE YOUR BED DAY
Did you know it's National Make Your Bed Day? In looking into the background, here's a little description I found... "This unofficial holiday with unknown origins encourages people to make and tidy up their beds in the mornings. Studies show that inculcating the habit of making beds every morning can increase productivity during the day and can make people happier. The idea is that the organization that goes into making beds can spill over to the tasks a person does during the rest of the day. The act also gives people some time before they start their day to meditate over about what they want to achieve during the day. A clean and made up bed also helps people sleep faster and better." (source) Hmm... It's a pretty convincing argument to be sure to make your bed every day, right? ...

HOW TO MAKE AN UPHOLSTERED HEADBOARD- DIY TUTORIAL
After having it on my to-do list since my master bedroom makeover over 3 years ago, I've finally written a tutorial for how to make your own upholstered headboard! I'd hoped to share before now, but somehow can't find my images that I took while making my headboard (what's that tell you about my digital photo organization?). So when I made another for my daughter's room , I made sure I did everything necessary to be able to share the process with you! ...

DO YOU HAVE SWEET DREAMS? SOLAY SLEEP HYBRID MATTRESS REVIEW
There are two things that I detest shopping for... a new refrigerator and a new mattress. With both, there is only so much you can determine about the item in the store before you purchase it. You just have to get it home and try it out for a while before you know if you really like it or not. And the bummer is, if you don't like it, it may not be possible to return... and if it is returnable it's definitely not an easy process with such a big ticket item. Well, I can confidently say that my list of despised things to shop for is down to one (refrigerators) because of our new Solay Sleep hybrid mattress! ...

THIS HOUSE: OUR HOME FOR 10 YEARS
We can hardly believe it, but this month marks our 10th anniversary of living in this house. My parents have never moved since they married almost 50 years ago, so I always lived in the same house growing up. After marrying, we moved around a bit, but this is the longest I've ever lived in a house other than my childhood home. My husband's dad is a pastor, so they moved around throughout his childhood and our current home is the one he's lived in the longest in his life. So, it's quite a milestone for many reasons! ...

MASTER BEDROOM REFRESH
It's hard for me to believe, but it's been almost 2 years since I completed my Master Bedroom makeover for the One Room Challenge . There was a lot of work accomplished in 6 weeks, but a few of the things I did were just "for now", and I knew there were still some small changes I'd want to make in the future that didn't allow for such a rushed deadline at the time, or I hadn't found quite the right piece. I made a few choices based on what was readily available and what I could finish quickly. I was still very happy with the finished room, but over these few years I've been changing small things here and there, so here's the refresh as of yesterday! ...

BEST OF 2015 {MAKEOVERS}
Today I'm closing out 2015 by sharing my best makeovers from the past year. What is it about a great before and after that we all love so much? We started early in the year with my Girl's Bold and Colorful Bedroom Refresh . We had redone her room several years before, but it needed a few improvements such as a bigger bed, new headboard, new bedding and different nightstands . (We later added the marquee light over her bed, this was just a quick Instagram photo.) Not surprisingly, many of this year's makeovers centered around my Master Bedroom Makeover this past Spring, since that was probably my biggest project of the year. $20 Shiny Brass Chandelier Makeover - from shiny and swirly to warm gold and modern. Orange-y Oak Armoire Makeover - My dad made this massive armoire from scratch so it will always be in our family, but the orange tone had to go! This was my first experience using gel stain and I loved it. Dated coloni......
