TOP TEN POSTS FROM 2020

Hey everyone, I can't believe it's been a month since I've seen you!  I took an extra long break through the holidays, some family events, and a nice little January family vacay before my son went back to college.  So, I'm easing into 2021 here and since I missed all of the year end festivities, thought I'd start there and share my top ten posts from 2020.  It's always fun- and insightful- to look back at these and see what you all enjoyed.   The first project of the year was wrapping up the  Kids' Jack and Jill Bathroom Makeover .  This ended up being such a night and day difference from the warmer, darker colors that were in here before.  SO thrilled with how it turned out....

TIME FOR A NEW BLOG DESIGN, TAKE A LOOK AROUND!

About 2 months ago I marked 6 years of blogging,  and a new look for the blog has been long overdue around here!  I've been so excited about this new blog design and couldn't wait to get it up and running to share with you.  I wanted a cleaner look with more features to make things easier to navigate, as well as past projects easier to find. Do you like the new header?  I made it myself and am pretty proud if I do say so!  I scanned a piece of gingham scrapbook paper and my favorite Kate Spade table runner into the computer and used the images for the design. BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS STYLEMAKER EVENT

CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF DIMPLES AND TANGLES (+ A GIVEAWAY!)

It honestly hardly seems possible, but yesterday marked 5 years since the very first time I hit "publish" for this blog.  These years have gone by in a flash, but it's hard to remember what life was like before the blog now!  Today, 763 posts later, it's amazing to look back and see all the things that have changed and the progress we have made with our home over these years.  And, although we've done a lot, there's still always another project on the horizon! TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK...

 It hardly seems possible to me, but the fifth anniversary of Dimples and Tangles is rapidly approaching!  As that date draws near, and considering things I continue to learn about blogging, I'm planning some changes around here.  Actually, certain changes (platform, design, even name possibly!) have been churning in my mind for several years, I've just never pulled the trigger on anything major.  However, I figured before I proceed, I'd better take your suggestions into consideration! I started this blog with the purpose of encouraging others to embrace their creativity while trying new things, and sharing ideas from my home to spark new inspiration for your own decor.  Also, I always have the idea in the back of my mind that I'm sharing things that I wish my 20 year old self would have known how to do way back then... As time has passed, I've added in more of my interests beyond decorating, such as travel and a little bit of cooking and fash......

HAVEN BLOG CONFERENCE RECAP

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that I was in Atlanta last weekend for a home blogger conference called Haven.  I've attended once before and was excited to get back and learn new things, hone some blogging skills, and connect with friends new and old. I don't have anything profound that I learned or did there to share with you (even though I learned a lot- but most of it's more technical blog stuff that you wouldn't be interested in!).  I didn't take nearly as many photos as I should have, I was just wrapped up in the experience and not thinking too much about documenting everything.  Bad blogger for sure!  I will share what I can from the experience, though, and a little bit about what we did, where I went, what I wore, and who I saw!
