2026 FOURTH OF JULY PATIO AND BACK YARD

I hope you enjoyed seeing the porch and front of our house all decorated , thank you for your kind comments!  Today I'll show you around one of the most used spaces in our home, the patio and back yard.   Mini Flags | Rechargeable Lamps | Stick Flags | DIY USA Garland The outdoor fireplace is the best spot for me to load up on the decor, we're definitely not using it for fires right now!  I removed the sticks from some mini flags and hot glued them to a ribbon (after consulting the internet to make sure I positioned the flags correctly for vertical hanging!)  to add a little garland across the top of the tv.   If you haven't noticed in my July 4th tours yet, my motto for any pot is "YOU get a flag and YOU get a flag and YOU get a flag!!" 🤣  I thought these little firecracker picks from HL were cute too.  I just checked the old post and I made this USA garland 11 years ago!!! Fun little project that you can do with any fabric scraps. ......

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Weekend! Since I'm back with you after missing a few months, I've made quite the list of things to share with you over the next few Five Friday Favorites posts! With holidays and semi-annual sales coming up in the next few weeks too there are some great deals to be found.  I'll be working on sharing my best picks from those with you as well, but for today here are some favorites I've been loving lately!  I keep a couple of planters at our back gate and some of them have been worn out for a while, I just hadn't found something I liked to replace them with.  I recently came across this darling woven wicker look urn style planter with a scallop top edge and thought it would be perfect for the spot!  It comes with a plastic liner if you want to plant directly in it, but I usually just drop the plastic pot inside so I removed that to let water drain. My one concern was that they might tip over in the wind, but we've had some very high winds the past week or so ......

2025 FALL HOME TOUR || PINK AND ORANGE PATIO DECORATIONS

In the past I've done a pink and orange Fall color combo several times on my front porch and am doing something a little different this year, but I still love the mix!  So, I thought I'd have some fun with those colors for my Fall patio decorations this year.   Really, this pleated fan banner is what kicked it all off for me.  I bought it not even sure how I would use it but I knew I loved it!  I keep cup hooks under the mantel and so the ends were easy to just tie on, then I slipped a little piece of wire through the ribbon that connects all the fans to hang the middle section.  I kept the mantel simple- not many options with the tv mounted- but added some striped bows to the rechargeable lamps and some pumpkins I got from At Home at some point.   Y'all see my pink squirrels in one spot or another nearly every year.  I got them from At Home years ago and spray painted them after a few years of their original gray finish.  They told m......

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  We have a full slate of family activities and church over the weekend, and I'm trying to get my Fall decorations together- too bad it's still in the upper 80s in OKC! 😭😭  Let's get right to my Five Friday Favorites (which are actually posting on a Saturday and there are way more than 5-haha!). I bought a pair of these rechargeable lamps last Spring, and I've enjoyed having them on my patio mantel so much!  They have different light modes, are dimmable, and each charge lasts for days and days.  I accidentally left mine on one night, then proceeded to forget to turn them off each following evening when I noticed they were still on, and they stayed on 24/7 for at least 4-5 days.  And, they are weather resistant so will be perfectly fine under our covered patio.  They are currently under $25 and I actually just ordered a second set to do a fun DIY with- stay tuned!  More patio links here.
