This post is sponsored by Hobby Lobby. The last big project that my Dad finished was a laundry room makeover for my Mom. He hand painted a faux brick floor, installed new wallpaper, created a mud bench and coffee bar space, and they had new countertops installed. After the big projects were done, the room still needed some new accessories and organization pieces to make the space even more functional. I shopped the 50-66% off Seasonal and Home Decor Departments at Hobby Lobby and found just what we needed to finish off the space. While spending lots of time at my parents' home over these past months, my sisters and I helped with plenty of loads of laundry! After pulling laundry pods out of the original package and always having to hunt for dryer sheets that were stored across the room, I knew some handy storage containers were needed. These pretty glass canisters are perfect for the job, and I used a small crystal bowl from her cabinet to ......

READER TIPS: DIGITAL PHOTO ORGANIZATION AND STORAGE IDEAS
Recently I had a project that I needed a couple of specific older original photos for, and for the life of me I couldn't locate them! I'll be the first to admit that organizing and storing my digital photos is not a strength for me, so I spent a good amount of time searching for those that I needed. As you can imagine, I take a LOT of photos! I've done a better job in the past few years of labeling and storing my blog photos in organized folders on my computer, but I have files and files of photos from before then that need to be dealt with and honestly I wasn't sure of the best way to go about it. So, I asked my friends on Instagram to share their best digital photo organization and storage tips and I'm sharing those with all of you today! ...

10 WAYS TO USE A CORDIAL GLASS
Last week was big, thank you so much for all of the love on my son's room refresh and the kids' bathroom makeover reveal ! It's fun to share the big things like that, but today let's talk about pretty little things! You all have seen several of the things that I collect- blue and white, busts, lamps, pillows- ha! I now have something new to add to the list that I'm always keeping an eye out for... blue Opaline glasses . I recently scored a set of 10 cordial glasses, they're the teeniest tiniest cutest little things! They're about the size of a shot glass and while we don't drink alcohol, I came up with 10 other ways to use a cordial glass. These don't just apply to my specific cordial glasses, what tiny little pretty containers do you have around your house that would work for some of these ideas? ...

BOYS DORM ROOM DECOR AND ORGANIZING ESSENTIALS
As I mentioned in yesterday's post, our lives had a huge change recently when we moved Caleb to college! He chose to attend Oklahoma Baptist University (our Alma Mater) and is majoring in Nursing with hopes to work somehow with Trauma Medicine, First Response, possibly Mediflight (that would combine all of his interests perfectly!), something along those lines. We were so busy all Summer we didn't spend much time getting ready for his room until the week or so before we moved in him, but I think it all came together well. "Boys Dorm Room" and "Decor" don't seem to really go together right? Ha! But I am his Mother after all so we had to add a little spice! We worked to give him a comfortable space though for his home-away-from-home and tried to use some thoughtful organizing solutions to maximize the tiny space. Take a look! BATHROOM UNDER SINK CABINET, DRAWER, AND LINEN CLOSET ORGANIZATION
Maybe even more than New Year's, I think the start of a new school year is a great opportunity to get things back in shape and organized around the house. I've been working space by space to do just that! For friends local to Oklahoma, did you know that our very first The Container Store in our great state just opened last week? Woo hoo! They were kind enough to partner with me on a project to celebrate the opening of our new store, and we decided that the kids' bathroom cabinets were long overdue some organization help ( *This post may contain affiliate links, read my full disclosure policy here .). ...

FALL INTO THE HOLIDAYS- KITCHEN PANTRY ORGANIZATION AND UPDATE
For the next month, I'm so excited to be joining some of my blogger friends as we prepare for the holidays (Thanksgiving is already less than a month away)! The craze and busy-ness of the season can quickly turn stressful, so we thought we'd try to curb some of the crazy and try to get some things knocked off of our prep to-do lists early. Each week we'll focus on a different room of the house, and pick one small project (ideally fairly quick and easy), to tackle in order to be more prepared as the holidays roll around. Many thanks to our smart friend Lisa from Shine Your Light for coming up with this idea and issuing the challenge to get our homes in order! This week we're focusing on the Kitchen...probably the most important room for holiday prep! I decided to overhaul my pantry- cleaning it out, taking stock of what I have, getting it organized, and sprucing it up a bit. ...

A DAY IN THE LIFE: OPERATION ORGANIZATION BACK TO SCHOOL SERIES
I was so honored to be invited by Christy and Amy of 11 Magnolia Lane to participate in this Operation: Organization Back to School series today. Honestly, I'm not the most organized person and am constantly fighting certain problem areas like I'm sure many of you do, so I wasn't sure I had much to share on the topic. However, I've found a few small things here and there that help our family and me personally stay on track, so I'll include those throughout the details of my day. If you're a new visitor today, welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by and hope you find something that you can relate to here. ...

HOW TO HAVE A GREAT GARAGE SALE: TIPS AND TRICKS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SALE
Since I was a little girl, my family has held fairly regular garage sales. My sister and I used to fight over who got to take the money when we were little (now I hate that part!), and I can still see in my head the precise tally columns my Dad would draw up to record everyone's earnings and keep them separate so we could see how much money we made. My Mom would cover all of the tables with a tablecloth before we loaded them up with merchandise (I don't go that far...) so things would look nice. Even now, we still hold a garage sale about every other year- and I'm a regular garage sale shopper- so I consider myself a pro at how to run one! Here are my best tips for how to have a successful garage sale so that you can put a little extra change in your pocket (or fund a vacation, redecorate a room, or cover an unexpected expense if you're really serious!) while getting rid of things that you no longer want or need. ...

SIMPLE OFFICE REFRESH WITH NEW ACCESSORIES
It happens every year, just like I mentioned in this post. When Christmas is over and the decorations are packed away, it's nice to look around with fresh eyes and consider changes that can be made here and there. You might not have the desire, time, or budget for an entire room makeover, but something as small as adding in a few new accessories can make such a difference in your space. I decided that our Office/Media Room/Craft Room/Music Room (whatever you want to call it...it has lots of uses!) needed a little refresh. Although I have a complete makeover planned in my head for this room someday , it's low on our list of priorities right now. With some cleaning out, rearranging, and adding in a few new pieces from At Home Stores , our room got a fresh new look! ...

MY FIVE FAVORITE ORGANIZING TOOLS
Welcome to a new year of My Five Favorites! Pam from Simple Details , Lisa from Shine Your Light, Kris from Driven by Decor and I are all so excited to be back with you today. Since it's January, when many feel the need to purge and organize, we're sharing our five favorite tools that help keep us organized with you today. We're so happy to have Erin from Sunny Side Up joining us as our guest host today. Erin is a master organizer and has so many good tips to share with us! She says she likes to keep all of the counters in her gorgeous kitchen cleared because she feels organized if her kitchen is clean, no matter what is going on in the rest of the house. I like that philosophy (and need to try that tactic out!)! ...

FRIDAY FAVORITES
This week has completely flown by for me, but I'm so glad it's Friday anyway! And April 1 (April Fools!) at that... anyone have any great tricks planned? No tricks here, just some Friday reading for you that I hope you'll love! *If you'd like to pin any of these wonderful projects, please click once on the link given and pin from the original source. Thanks so much! Brynne at The Gathered Home has created a marvelous series focused on vintage finds called The ABC's of Gathering . She's taking each letter of the alphabet one by one and sharing a post full of gorgeous decor inspiration based on that letter. Another thing that I like so much about this series is that Brynne has really taken the time to educate the reader in each installment on the theme for the week. I'm learning something new with each post! So far, Brynne has shared A is for Art, B is for Brass, C is for Chinoiserie, and D is for Dine. I'm also honored that Brynn......

MY FIVE FAVORITES: TIPS FOR ORGANIZING YOUR HOME
Hello Friends, I hope your new year is off to a fantastic start! My blog friends Pam of Simple Details , Lisa of Shine Your Light , Kris of Driven by Decor and I are back today (and the first Tuesday of every month) for this month's feature of My Favorite Five. This is the third installment in our new series and it's already been so much fun, we hope you're enjoying it as much as we are! Today, we thought it appropriate as we kick off a new year to share our favorite organizing tips with you. I have a confession to make. Organizing is NOT my strong suit. It wouldn't take you long to believe me if you opened most any drawer or closet in my home. So.... I was a little creative with my selections today and am sharing some projects that have just made my life a little easier, neater, or prettier. But you know what? This month we're honored to have Carmel from Our Fifth House as ou......

BACK TO SCHOOL ORGANIZATION - LUNCH BOX STATION
Last week as we started rounding up school supplies, which included a new lunchbox, I was reminded of the morning frenzy that will start up again soon. You know, the rush... get dressed, fix hair, pack bags, make lunches, sign papers... on and on. I decided we could do a little something to make the mornings run just a bit more smoothly. And yes, much of that can be done the night before to relieve the morning rush, but that just doesn't seem to happen very often in our last-minute house! This project also originated from my need to be a little more organized. Our normal spot to store lunch boxes is in the tall cabinet over the fridge. Even though my kids are bigger, I'm the only one who can reach it, so lunch boxes end up thrown on the counter until I put them up, then get them out the next morning. I wanted a neater and easier plan. As I brainstormed, I thought about our mini-command center for mail and important papers on the inside......
