A few years ago I compiled a post that listed all of the paint colors used in my home. Well, new projects have been completed and other spaces have been updated since then and it's high time for an update, so here's a current paint color guide for my home- part 2! If you landed on this post and don't see a specific color you're looking for, it's likely from an older room or project and is listed in my original paint color guide post . I repeated the major spaces and pieces in this post, but if the color you're looking for isn't here that post might be a good resource for you as well. ...

ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: MASTER BATHROOM- WALLS, CABINETS, AND PAINT {WEEKS 5-6}
Hello everyone, did you think I forgot about you? I didn't! I literally have been so busy working on the room that I haven't had the time to sit down and put a post together. Especially this one, it's a doozy and big catch up since we missed posting an update last week. In light of the turmoil happening nationwide during the week that Week 5 updates were due to be posted, the One Room Challenge organizers decided to cancel that week so that everyone could focus on the more important issues at hand of racial equality and justice. I for one as well as likely most of you have started to have our eyes opened about the racial injustice that is alive and well in our country. I shared my thoughts here and here , but in a nutshell fully believe that the change we need in our nation begins in MY heart and in your heart, spreads to us influencing and teaching those in our own home, and then we can work together to change our communities. Jesus is the on......

I PAINTED MY CHINA CABINET {GREEN CHINA CABINET MAKEOVER}
There's been a project looming for several years that I've wanted to tackle, but other things kept jumping on the "to-do" list ahead of it. However, since we've had so much time at home and I had all of the supplies on hand, I finally buckled down and painted my china cabinet! But if you've been a fan of the green china cabinet, never fear! It's still green, just a slightly different shade. ...

KIDS' JACK AND JILL BATHROOM MAKEOVER- WEEK 3 PROGRESS
Things are moving right along in the kid's bathroom makeover, and I need to catch you up on the progress! I have to remind myself to take a break from the work and projects and actually blog about what's happening, I feel like we have a hundred irons in the fire right now and I'm jumping back and forth between thing to thing. I always feel strange about saying something like that, because really... who doesn't have a hundred things going at once? Especially you Moms, right? At any rate, here's how things are coming along! (*This post contains affiliate links, read my full disclosure policy here .) (If you're just joining in, go back here to see the before photos and design plan , then this post will show you the progress this far.) The tile in the shower started going up. So excited about the shampoo niche, we've been lining the edge of the tub with bath products for far too long! ...

DIY PAINTED BRICK EXTERIOR FIREPLACE TUTORIAL
When we remodeled our patio three years ago, a brick outdoor fireplace was one addition we knew we wanted to incorporate. Unfortunately, the brick used on our over 20 year old home exterior was no longer being made, so I chose new brick that was as close of a match to the original as I could get. The color was similar, but the new didn't have the patina that our original brick has and the slight difference in material always just bothered me a bit. Early this year I finally made up my mind to just paint it, and now I only wish I had done it sooner! Here's a quick recap of how we painted our exterior brick fireplace. It's such a straightforward project, and I would use this same process for interior or exterior brick. *This post may contain affiliate links, which means I might make a small commission at no extra cost to you. HAND PAINTED BAMBOO BOOKSHELF BACKS TUTORIAL
I was up until 2:30 last night finishing up projects so I can photograph for my Spring Tour, so I'm scrambling to get this post up this morning! I didn't want to wait any longer to share our painted bamboo bookshelf backs that I've been working on in the living room, and I'll show you how I did them. It wasn't a hard project, but it was an involved project that you definitely have to be committed to. ...

A FEW THINGS...
I'm knee deep (more like neck deep!) in a variety of projects but I wanted to pop in and give you a little peek of what's coming. I often share bits and pieces on my Instagram stories of what I'm working on, but I realize that many of you might not see those so I thought I'd share here, too. First up, I told you a few weeks ago that I had plans for the shelves in the living room . That project stretched out for about 2 weeks working off and on when I decided to hand paint a pattern on it. It got a bit tedious and I had flashbacks of painting the Powder Bath walls , but I'm so happy with how it turned out! Here's a little peek. As many of you suggested I decided to paint the mantel white and although I was worried about it being too stark against the brick, it's not and I love it! ...

THIS WEEK'S PROJECT- PATTERNED BOOKCASE BACKS
Last year when I painted the living room bookshelves white , I knew I wanted to do something fun on the back of them, I just wasn't sure what yet. So, I left the backs Urbane Bronze until I was inspired to change them. I'm making a few changes in the living room this Spring, so I'm kicking off a little mini makeover in there with this project. ...

MORTAR WASH BRICK FIREPLACE MAKEOVER
Last Fall, on Instagram I shared a peek of a project that my sister and I did for our parents. My Mom is planning to redecorate their Living Room and wanted the brick lightened up, so we decided to do a mortar wash on the brick one week while they were gone on vacation. Surprise!! My sister already had a pretty good idea of what Mom wanted, so it wasn't a total shocker but they didn't know we were going to do it while they were gone. Everyone on IG loved the transformation and asked lots of questions so I decided to write everything down here to share. My sister did all of the research and planning for the project- I was just the hired help. ;) I didn't plan to do a full tutorial at the time, so I didn't take a lot of detailed photos. These are just the basics of what we did, but if it's a project you're wanting to tackle I think it's enough to get you going! You can't really mess it up... be brave!! ;) ...

FALL INTO THE HOLIDAYS- KITCHEN PANTRY ORGANIZATION AND UPDATE
For the next month, I'm so excited to be joining some of my blogger friends as we prepare for the holidays (Thanksgiving is already less than a month away)! The craze and busy-ness of the season can quickly turn stressful, so we thought we'd try to curb some of the crazy and try to get some things knocked off of our prep to-do lists early. Each week we'll focus on a different room of the house, and pick one small project (ideally fairly quick and easy), to tackle in order to be more prepared as the holidays roll around. Many thanks to our smart friend Lisa from Shine Your Light for coming up with this idea and issuing the challenge to get our homes in order! This week we're focusing on the Kitchen...probably the most important room for holiday prep! I decided to overhaul my pantry- cleaning it out, taking stock of what I have, getting it organized, and sprucing it up a bit. ...

A TREASURE HUNTING STORY AND MY WEEKEND PROJECT
About a week ago I popped into Ross looking for something unrelated, and a palm leaf outdoor chair cushion caught me eye. It's a slightly smaller scale, but matches my palm pillows and bench perfectly. Summer Home Tour ...
