EASY AND DELICIOUS PORK MARINADE RECIPE AND FIRST DAY OF FALL DECORATING IDEAS
Happy First Day of Fall! Yesterday we finally got some cooler weather, yay! We'll thoroughly enjoy it although it will be short lived, our forecast is back in the 90s next week... boo! It's no fun to decorate for Fall when you're sweating. 😂 Last week I was prepping dinner and was reminded of this simple Pork Marinade recipe that a friend shared with me over 20 years ago. I've been using it often again lately and it's so easy and delicious, I thought you might like it too. The original recipe states it's for a pork tenderloin, but it is very versatile and I've also used it for pork roasts and pork chops... any cut will do! JEN'S GREEN BEANS- THE PERFECT MAKE AHEAD GREEN SIDE DISH!
I can hardly believe that the holidays are upon us! As you're planning your menu for various gatherings through the season, why not shake up the usual green bean casserole for something a little different? Last year we had a recipe swap at church where everyone brought one of their favorite dishes and everyone else was able to sample it. One of my friends brought this recipe and we all loved it! I took it to a family gathering a few weeks ago and they all said how delicious it was too, so it's now on the menu for Thanksgiving as well. My friend sweetly allowed me to share Jen's Green Beans recipe with you, and although it's not named after this Jen, it still works! ;) ...

FRESH BLACK BEAN AND CORN SALSA DIP RECIPE
I just started the group text with my family to decide who is bringing what to our Fourth of July festivities later this week. I made this Fresh Black Bean and Corn Salsa dip a few weeks ago when we had company for dinner, but it's the perfect recipe for Independence Day, too! It takes minutes to assemble and is best prepared ahead of time, so it's quick and easy to throw together for a busy day. ...

HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE PIE
Last week on Instagram I mentioned discussing our Thanksgiving menu with my Mother in Law. She's hosting this year, but I'll be bringing homemade Chocolate Pie, Pecan Pie, and Mac & Cheese. I had several people ask about my chocolate pie, so I thought I'd share the recipe with you here if you want to add it to your menu this week. This is my Grandmother's recipe that my Mom made often as we grew up, it's definitely one of my favorite desserts that I often request for my birthday. It's straightforward and made with simple ingredients, nothing fancy... just delicious! ...

HOMEMADE BUTTERFINGER ICE CREAM RECIPE
Earlier this year I posted My Five Favorite Summer Essentials , and one of the things on my list was a homemade ice cream maker. After sharing that our family's favorite is homemade Butterfinger ice cream, I had several requests for the recipe. With a holiday weekend and family gatherings right around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to share that with you today. THE FOURTH OF JULY- DECOR, RECIPES, AND FASHION INSPIRATION FOR A FESTIVE HOLIDAY
Happy Monday Everyone! Well that weekend went by in a blur, but we were prepping and packing for vacation so the time flew by extra quickly. After getting up super early we rode most of the day yesterday and arrived in New Orleans last night. It's been 6 years since we've been here so we'll spend a full day enjoying the sights (& food!) before heading on to Florida tomorrow for some R&R at the beach. It's hard to believe that the Fourth of July will be right around the corner by the time we get home, so I thought I'd better get my brain in gear to be ready for the holiday. A few decorations from years past... ...

SIMPLE, NO-FAIL HOMEMADE CRESCENT ROLLS
There are plenty of times that I pull store bought rolls out of the freezer to use for dinner, but there's still nothing quite like homemade bread! Today I'm sharing my favorite homemade crescent rolls recipe with you. I make these for many of our family gatherings and when we have company, and even keep a supply of frozen ones to use for everyday dinners. I clipped the recipe out of the newspaper years ago (pre-Pinterest!) and it truly is a no-fail, tried and true winner! ...

This has been a favorite breakfast casserole recipe in our house for years. VALENTINE'S DAY HEART SHAPED SUGAR COOKIES- DOUBLE DOOZIES STYLE!
Growing up, I remember my sister's favorite treat to get at the mall was always a double doozie cookie. I always preferred the bag of mini cookies, but later in life she swayed me to her side... double doozie cookies are delicious! Rather than the traditional chocolate chip, I thought it would be festive to assemble some double doozie sugar cookies for Valentine's Day. ...

CHEESY CHICKEN PASTA CASSEROLE RECIPE
Brrrrr... it sure is cold in Oklahoma (yet somehow we've missed any snow!!) and almost everywhere else around the country it appears right now, too! With temperatures hovering well below freezing for days and days, we just want snuggle in with some warm comfort food for dinner. You too? A friend shared this cheesy chicken pasta recipe with me years ago and it's one of our favorites. It's similar to mac and cheese, but adding chicken makes it more substantial and a little more grown up! ;) My daughter had some friends over for lunch on Monday when they were out of school, so this was an easy recipe to throw together to feed a crowd. ...

HOT CINNAMON SPICE ICED TEA
It's already been especially hot in Oklahoma for the past week or two. I'm not a fan of hot tea, but I enjoy iced tea particularly in the summer. My Mom discovered a flavored tea years ago that she does like to drink hot, and it smells so delicious that I thought I'd try it cold. It's been a favorite ever since! ...

KELLY'S THAI SOUP RECIPE
I didn't grow up as a very adventuresome eater. Not that I was particularly picky, my Mom was just more of a chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, Indian Tacos kind of cook. Which I didn't mind at. all. However, as an adult, I've learned to branch out and find new things even now that I've never had before. When we visited London almost 3 years ago, my friend Kelly made this delicious Thai soup for dinner one night. I had never had anything like it before, and it was an immediate hit with us so I was sure to get the recipe from her before we left! She was kind enough to allow me to share it with you today. ...

PINK LEMONADE PIE RECIPE
I could have titled this "The Best Spring Dessert Ever" or "Tasty Easter Dessert" or "The Easiest Dessert Ever", because it's all of those things! Actually, around our house, Pink Lemonade Pie is my husband's favorite dessert so we have it year round for holidays, his birthday, or as a quick dessert to make a week night just a bit more special. I learned to make it from his Mom shortly after we got married, and have been making it for almost 23 years ever since! ...
