ENTRY TABLE STYLING WITH STRIPED PLEATED LAMPSHADES

I'll start pulling out some Fall decor this week and next, but I recently fluffed up my foyer a bit with some new entry table styling and wanted to share with you before the pumpkins come out.  I shopped my house for the most part except for the one thing that made a huge difference... new striped pleated lamp shades!  All through the Summer I've had white lamps and accessories on the dresser, but when thinking about transitioning to Fall I wanted to warm it up a bit.  I haven't had my Tobacco Leaf lamps out in a white so I was ready to use those again.  Here they are as I've always used them- But I recently came across these striped shades and thought they might be perfect to mix with the lamps instead of the white shades!  I'm totally on board with the patterned, pleated shade trend but have not incorporated any into my home yet.  I absolutely love these mixed with my lamps!  It just transforms the entire look.    Green Striped Lampshade ......

2024 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR || ENTRY

Happy Wednesday!  How can we be just one week away from Christmas???  I can't believe this time next week we'll be in the thick of celebrating.  Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my Christmas home tour so far, today I'm sharing our Entry with you.  I actually shared this space before Thanksgiving on Instagram so if you follow there you might have seen it already.  But of course after I posted it there I changed and added a few things, so here's what I ended up with!  You'll probably see my big stars in this spot every year- I love the color and interest they add to an otherwise blank space.  I've bought most of mine at Ikea over the years and occasionally there will be a year when Target carries some.  They are usually just come in white or gold, though, so I've spray painted several of mine.  Multiple very light coats is the key, and by the time you've had them hung for a month they are plenty dry and cured to fold up and store......

2023 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR || PORCH AND ENTRY

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  I'm excited to share the first of this year's Christmas home tours with you today, we'll start with the Porch and Entry.  (C lick here for  Part 2  and  Part 3 .)     Last year I took a little turn and used more traditional plaids with red, green, and light pink, but this year I'm back to a bright and cheery color palette and pink gingham ribbon!  I generally keep a similar look from year to year but always try to switch things around and use them in different places, or change little details here and there.   Last year I used several colors of satin table runners to make big, fluffy bows.  This year I used the green ones mixed in with red and pink gingham ribbon.  My porch bows get bigger and bigger every year, ha! I got a new flocked wreath and garland this year, the ones that I've used for the past 5-6 years had turned brown and were looking pretty sad.  I bunched grou......
