ORGANIZATION AND ACCESSORIES LAUNDRY ROOM REFRESH

He hand painted a faux brick floor, installed new wallpaper, created a mud bench and coffee bar space, and they had new countertops installed.   After the big projects were done, the room still needed some new accessories and organization pieces to make the space even more functional. THIS HOUSE: OUR HOME FOR 10 YEARS

We can hardly believe it, but this month marks our 10th anniversary of living in this house. My parents have never moved since they married almost 50 years ago, so I always lived in the same house growing up.  After marrying, we moved around a bit, but this is the longest I've ever lived in a house other than my childhood home.  My husband's dad is a pastor, so they moved around throughout his childhood and our current home is the one he's lived in the longest in his life.  So, it's quite a milestone for many reasons! ...

LAUNDRY ROOM ORGANIZATION REFRESH

HOW'S YOUR IRONING BOARD COVER LOOKING? {JUST ONE THING}

It's time for another installment in my Just One Thing series, where I focus on simple ways to make your life just a little bit better.  Whether it be trying something new that you might not have considered before, or finally getting around to doing that chore you've been putting off, these ideas are meant to be quick and easy! Mine was bad.  Like B-A-D!  I'm almost sure it's original to the house...which is almost 20 years old.  And after seeing that photo I'm sure you won't disagree.  It needed to be changed when we moved in almost 7 years ago, and it's one of those things that just kept getting overlooked. Now I WANT To Be In My Laundry Room!

I recently completed redecorating my laundry room, all because of a light.  We had a big fluorescent light in there that I really didn't like.  We've never changed one of those out in a house before, so we didn't really know what to expect once we got it down.  Thankfully, it was just a regular hole and connections like any other ceiling light fixture.  I had purchased an iron chandelier from a thrift store over a year ago thinking my sister might want to use it in her new house but it didn't work out for her.  Yea for me! My plans were to just paint it and have my handsome helper install it, but that started a big snowball rolling for a redo.  One night while my youngest sister was visiting (who is very hip and cool and creative!)
