LOOKING BACK | TOP POSTS AND PRODUCTS OF 2022

Before we get too far into the new year I wanted to take a minute to look back at 2023! I enjoyed digging down into some analytics to see what the top posts and products of 2022 were and thought I would share them here in case you missed something.  It was a full year!  Spring Home Tour Photo Gallery Wall Paint Guide for My Home 15 Years in our Home- Before and After Photos Easter Tablescape  (see more tablescapes here ) Big Family News DIY Faux Photo Canvas  (an economical way to frame large prints with no glass!) Valentine's Day Decorations Our Trip to Krakow, Poland Pillow Source Guide - All of the pillows in my home in one spot!  Judging my the number of page views,  Five Friday Favorites  always seem to always be popular posts as well! Some of you have made a special effort to tell me how much you enjoy those types of posts and I appreciate the feedback, and am so glad they are helpful for you finding new things you might need (or just want to try......

LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO 10 COLORFUL/ECLECTIC/GLAM BLOGGERS YOU'LL LOVE!

I find it so inspiring to witness time and time again how our families, communities and the country comes together to support others during difficult times such as these.  I've witnessed that neighbors-helping-neighbors mentality first hand when we've had devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma, and in the last few weeks I have been encouraged to see others rally to support local restaurants and small businesses however they can in the current tumultuous  economic climate. ...

FAVORITE NETFLIX SHOWS

Hip hip hooray for a long holiday weekend!  Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy some time outdoors this weekend, but when you're ready for a break, here are some of my favorite shows on Netflix that I enjoy, and thought you might too!   I'm keeping this list generally family friendly- PGish.  That doesn't mean they're necessarily for kids, but I wouldn't cringe if I was watching one of them and the kids walked through the room. ...

HAPPENINGS ON THE HOMEFRONT | 4 | AND EXCITING NEWS!

Our hearts continue to go out to our family and friends in Texas who are devastated by Hurricane Harvey.  Please do what you can to help.  Here are just a few ways you can help monetarily: We personally contribute to  Southern Baptist Disaster Relief , but  Samaritan's Purse  and the Red Cross  are also worthy organizations providing help to those in need.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  * * * * * * * Well hello there!  Long time no post, right?  I absolutely did not intend to only post a handful of times this Summer, but boy, our schedule over the past few months just about did me in!  Nope, no slow, leisurely Summer with afternoons at the pool here... we were WAY too busy and unfortunately when I did have a day or two to catch my breath blogging was not at the top of my priority list.  However, the kids are back in school, we're easing back into a normal routine, and I'm ready to get back to it! ......

A TOUR OF THE PIONEER WOMAN MERCANTILE

A TOUR OF THE PIONEER WOMAN MERCANTILE

Lots of good people have come from Oklahoma.  Baseball players Johnny Bench and Mickey Mantle.  Actor and director Ron Howard. Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller.  Actor Brad Pitt.  Basketball player Blake Griffin. Actor Chuck Norris.  Singer and performer Kristin Chenoweth.  Astronaut Shannon Lucid, and Humorist Will Rogers.  Not to mention Reba, Carrie, Garth, Vince, Toby, & Blake!  But in the world of the internet, perhaps there's no bigger jewel in Oklahoma's crown than Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman! The Pioneer Woman was the very first blog I started reading about 8 years ago.  Our local paper did a story on her when she was coming out with her first cookbook, and after checking out her blog, just like many other people, I was quickly hooked.  Reading about a ranch family's life in the (familiar) country is fascinating, not to mention my appreciation of Ree's sense of humor, devotion to her friends and family, stunning photogr......

CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF DIMPLES AND TANGLES (+ A GIVEAWAY!)

It honestly hardly seems possible, but yesterday marked 5 years since the very first time I hit "publish" for this blog.  These years have gone by in a flash, but it's hard to remember what life was like before the blog now!  Today, 763 posts later, it's amazing to look back and see all the things that have changed and the progress we have made with our home over these years.  And, although we've done a lot, there's still always another project on the horizon! So,  I just wanted to stop and say thank you today.  Thank you for reading.  Thank you for sharing your encouraging comments.  Thank you for telling your friends about the blog.  Thank you for becoming my "online friends." And to those who read who I actually know in real life, thank you for being my cheerleaders and always having a kind word to say about what you're enjoying on the blog when we meet in passing.  It's been a privilege to share our home and a peek into our lives w......

D&T INSTAPEEK

Hey you all!  As much as I love posting and following friends on Instagram , I realize that many of you don't use it.  Or, even if you're on IG, you might miss posts when IG is deciding what will show up in your feed (boo-I know I miss lots of posts this way too!).  So, I thought I'd give you a peek of what goes up over on my Instagram feed here on the blog occasionally.  Today, here's the highlight reel of our summer... I'm still dreaming of all of these lovely hydrangeas that my sister let me clip from her bushes for my Summer Home Tour. It's a common occurrence around here- one wants in, one wants out! I finally got my hands on a fox tail fern this year.  I was totally amazed at some of the new shoots, they went a little haywire! My daughter attended a basketball camp at a local university.  The parents are invited to come on the last day and watch some mostly friendly competition.  We enjoyed watching as our girl was named the c......

SPITTING IMAGE

Hey there, friends!  Sorry the posts have been slim this week, I've got a few things going on with life and that little One Room Challenge thing is keeping me busy... be sure to check in on Thursday to see my plans for the room! Today I'm popping in quickly to share a reader's space with you that I was so impressed with.  She loved my Entry so much that she replicated it for herself, down to the almost identical accessories! She said she still plans to add gold trim to the lamps like mine and is waiting for a striped rug to come in.  She even looked for the elephant plant stand like mine, but they were out so she got the camel (which I might like even more than the elephant, he's pretty cute!). Thank you, Alex, for sharing your Entry with me.  I'm glad my home inspired you to create a space that you love, that's why I do what I do! If anyone else has been inspired by one of my projects or spaces, I'd love to see photos from you, too! ...
