CUTE AND COLORFUL NEW BARGAIN HOME ACCESSORIES

Hello friends!  I've found some new home accessories recently that I couldn't wait to share with you!  They're from the new Mainstays by Becky G & Alejandra line from Walmart, so you know they're affordable but they are SO CUTE too!  And really fantastic quality!  It all started when my good friend texted me a photo of these pillows saying "have you seen these???"  At the time I was in the middle of fluffing the patio for the season and I immediately knew they would be perfect for the new chairs I found at Homegoods.  Striped Pillow   ||  Similar Swivel Chairs   ||  Similar Rugs  The texture and detail in the design is so good!  Love the contrast piping and there's a hidden zipper if I ever want to wash the cover or change the insert.  These are not specified as outdoor pillows, but I treated them with this to repel water and hopefully prevent fading.  I've had them in place for at least a month and so far so g......

UPDATED BLUE AND WHITE CURTAINS AND DRAPERY FABRIC SOURCES

When I share any photos that show my blue and white curtains, I'm often asked for sources.  I made all of my drapery myself, so I don't have exact sources to share.  I have shared fabric names and similar ready made drapery options in the past, several years ago I wrote a post sharing all of the information.   However, availability has changed since then and I wanted to update that post to be able to share some current sources.  So, here's my updated blue and white curtains source guide!  I'll start by saying that most of the fabric I used seems to have since been discontinued, or difficult to find in a web search.  If you have access to decorator fabric warehouses these exact prints might still be found in those or local shops.  I'll share the fabric info. again so it's accessible if you're searching and I've included some similar fabrics that are available online below.   The fabric I used in the Living Room and Breakfast Nook is a Vern Yip......

2022 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR | DINING ROOM AND BREAKFAST NOOK

Happy Friday, I can't believe we're just 9 days away from Christmas!  I'm so excited to share more of my Christmas home tour with you today, I hope you enjoy this peek at the Dining Room and Breakfast Nook.   I wanted my decorations to have a collected, vintage feel to them this year with some plaid in the mix too! I parted from  my super bold hot pink that I've used for the past few years and focused on more traditional red and green this year, but with a softer pink and plenty of other colors still in the mix as well. I gathered up a variety of trees and arranged them for a centerpiece layered on a table runner and strip of wrapping paper... my favorite trick to bulk up a runner or just add some color and pattern.  And an added bonus, clean up is a breeze! You all might remember the collection of houses I thrifted a few years ago and sprayed them a variety of colors, I just pulled a few of the red ones out to use this time.  I used mercury glass candles h......

HALLOWEEN MIX AND MATCH TABLESCAPE

BALLARD BOTANICAL PRINTS {HIGH/LOW}

A few days ago I was quickly flipping through a Ballard Designs catalog when this page caught my eye: I love the botanical prints (and the wood wall, and the black cabinet, and the rattan charis...)!  And then I saw the price: Whoa!  I'm sure the prints are very nice quality and I realize they come framed, but that little display on the magazine page would set one back a pretty penny.  $1200 to be exact! I think I started to appreciate my botanical grouping even more.  The entire DIY collection (20 frames rather than 12 in the Ballard ad) totaled just under $100. Granted, my pictures are pages taken from a book, matted on posterboard, and mounted in inexpensive plastic frames, but for over an $1100 savings, I'll take it.  And, Good Housekeeping even loved it enough to print it in their magazine!
