Happy Weekend! Since I'm back with you after missing a few months, I've made quite the list of things to share with you over the next few Five Friday Favorites posts! With holidays and semi-annual sales coming up in the next few weeks too there are some great deals to be found. I'll be working on sharing my best picks from those with you as well, but for today here are some favorites I've been loving lately!
I keep a couple of planters at our back gate and some of them have been worn out for a while, I just hadn't found something I liked to replace them with. I recently came across this darling woven wicker look urn style planter with a scallop top edge and thought it would be perfect for the spot! It comes with a plastic liner if you want to plant directly in it, but I usually just drop the plastic pot inside so I removed that to let water drain. My one concern was that they might tip over in the wind, but we've had some very high winds the past week or so and they haven't budged- super steady! This style is currently on sale, I've been very pleased!
It's also available in a larger, wider style if you have a very large plant you need a pot for. It looks great with my ferns that have really grown and filled out. These woven pots are made of an all-weather plastic material and powder coated metal frame, so they should last a really long time.
I don't wear an apple watch or fitness tracker watch and never carry my phone on me when I'm working around the house all day, so I've never really had a good way to keep track of my steps all day long. I wanted something that is just about as simple and basic as you can get, no fuss! I got this digital pedometer several months ago and have enjoyed it so much. I slip it in my pocket (or attach it somewhere if no pockets) first thing every morning and am always amazed at how many steps add up just going through my normal day. Then, I have a guideline of how much more I need to walk later in the day to catch up to 7-10K steps if I haven't made it yet.
Large chunky bead necklaces are definitely THE summer accessory to have this year! I've found several that are such fun to add to any outfit, and they are all super budget friendly. This one is a spot on look for less that's about 75% less than a pricier boutique one that I *almost* bought.

Coin Necklace- vintage (bought here) | Heart Necklace Bottom Left | Heart Necklace Bottom Right | Bow Flag Hat | Travel Eternity Wedding Ring
I'm so glad I didn't buy the pricier one, I've was able to get 5 or 6 of these for the same price as that one would have been! I also wanted to mention the gold and red chunky wood bead necklaces shown, they are super light weight and very nice on- lots of colors. Also adding this pretty blue one next!
I've worn this colored heart one a lot and wanted to note that I didn't like the decorative gold piece that's on the front of the heart (you can see it in the link). So, I turn it around and wear it backwards and I think it makes it look so much better!

If you read my last post, you saw that we had a leaky hose on our water heater recently that caused some damage. At the time of the repair, the plumber warned us that we needed to consider replacing the tank soon, he gave it 6 months max and suggested that we get an alarm to alert of any additional leaking that might occur if the tank went bad. We followed his advice and put this water leak alarm in place several weeks ago, and are grateful for his suggestion because it saved us big this week! I was working outside for a while Tuesday morning and when I came in I heard an unfamiliar beep, and finally determined that it was the alarm going off at the water heater. Sure enough, the tank itself was done and leaking but wasn't too bad yet, so we were able to shut it off and catch the remaining water that leaked out until the plumber arrived the next day to replace the tank. It could have been SO much worse if the tank had started leaking more- all I can think about are the horror stories of tanks failing and totally flooding rooms, garages, etc. Without this handy device that probably would have been us! I think it would be a great idea to also put leak detectors in the house under sinks, the washing machine and dishwasher, toilets, etc. This one is a multi sensor pack that has wifi capability, which would send an alert to your phone which would be crucial if you're not home at the time of the leak. Definitely something to consider investing in for peace of mind! (And Happy Anniversary to us, we bought each other a brand new water heater... ha!)
A while back I got this navy cotton eyelet pajama shorts set, and it's so good I knew I wanted to share it with you. And SCORE for you, when I checked this morning it's now at an amazing clearance price and stocked in sizes! I immediadely scooped up the lavender set which is also clearance priced. The dolphin hem on the leg is my favorite cut, I think it's so flattering. I'm very happy with my regular size M, it's a comfortable fit and didn't seem to shrink any. There are also several cotton poplin options, I ordered this cute green stripe one, I'm thinking I might just have to add a monogram to it!
Old Navy just started a 50% off of (almost) everything sale, and I have so many favorites from there! I've had these white wide leg jeans for a year or two and wear them a lot- I cut the hem to a cropped length.
Here are some of the things currently available that are already in my closet that I wear over and over again. These workout shorts are my current faves, Emily and I have several colors. Their simple t-shirt dresses are $5 in this sale- love and have several colors, as well as the longer maxi version that's currently $12! Emily and I both love these vintage style t-shirts too, they are a great weight and come in tons of colors. My closet is full of the classic button down and boyfriend button down shirts too!
And here's what's in my cart and some of my order from today- some things for everyone in the family. One note- I'm 5'7" and almost always buy I Tall in the shorter ON dresses. That usually puts the hem right around my knee which I prefer.
They always have good graphic tees, I've ordered some of these for Ray, and several of us girls in the family like to shop the men's graphic tee selection as well. We just celebrated our anniversary and I couldn't resist ordering the "94" ringer tee, one for Ray and one for me, since that's the year we got married AND it's our college colors- year I graduated too! Double bonus! My youngest sister and Emily also liked the retro style Bronco tshirt.
Lastly- I thought this was a good collection of pieces that would be fun for the Fourth!
