Hello friends, welcome to my first home tour to kick off the 2022 Christmas season! Unlike most bloggers, I'm just now getting my decorations up, so we're in the same boat if you are too. The rest of the house is still in disaster mode, but our Master Bedroom is all festive and ready! I'm so happy to be participating in the Holiday Home Tour hosted by Jenny from Evolution of Style. Don't miss her pretty Christmas porch, I'm soaking it in as I'm headed out to decorate my own porch today. If you're new here today or visiting from Sincerely Marie Designs, welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm drooling over every one of Amanda's photos, her style is so classic and welcoming! Just the vibe I'm going for in the rest of my home this year for Christmas... but my bedroom is bright and bold! You'll see a little different style next week as I share more of my Christmas home tour, but I decorated my bedroom this year in the style you're used to seeing around here. If you are visiting for the first time today, you'll quickly see that I'm not shy with color and pattern, and I love using lots of vintage and second hand finds mixed in when furnishing my home. So, let's get on with today's Christmas Home Tour!
I normally don't set up a tree in my room. I actually did last year but my college daughter asked if she could take that one for her apartment this year and I happily agreed! So, I decided to add some lights and a bow to a large wreath over the bed in lieu of a tree and call it good.

I fell in love with Cath Kidston products when we visited London several years ago. Earlier this year I came across one of her duvet covers at Homegoods. The top side is the sweetest rosebud pattern that I used in the Spring and Summer but when I saw this stripe on the back side I knew it would be perfect for Christmas! And stripes + more stripes is ok in my book. The cute red and pink is a $5 pillow from Ikea that I upgraded just a bit with a new insert and some pom poms (see tutorial post here).
Last year I bought these jumbo confetti ornaments and have enjoyed finding fun places to use them, this year the winning spot was hanging from these sconces.

Merry Christmas Garland- I glued felt letters onto a beaded string, you could use the letters from this garland to do the same (attached to mantel with command hooks).
Thank you so much for being here today. If you enjoyed the tour, you might also enjoy my Christmas Tour from last year- I'll link each one under the following photos. And, I'd LOVE for you to subscribe to my email list if you don't already. I only send notice when there is a new post on the blog to share, usually 2-3 times per week.

ReplyDeleteThank you! So fun to be touring with you today, I loved your beautiful room as well!
DeleteHi Jennifer! I love your signature style of bold color and fun, cheerful prints and decor for your Christmas bedroom! It looks beautiful, polished and festive! Hope you and your family are doing well and have a very happy Christmas season! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteIt's fabulous, Jennifer. So happy and welcoming! I visited Cath Kidston in London as well and find those cheerful patterns heartwarming. Love how you interpreted that spirit. This was my first time on a holiday tour (I am NOT known for holiday decorating...hahaha) so it's humbling, and the best part has been the ideas I am tucking away for next year! Peace to you right where you are.
ReplyDeleteThese tours are the best for pinning ideas for the future! :) I'm still kicking myself that I didn't buy a Cath Kidston bag that I saw at a "charity shop" (thrift store) in London. That was a bad decision... ha!
DeleteA completely magazine worthy tour! I loved the colors, how bright and happy yet warm and welcoming everything looked. Seems like the happiest place on earth at Christmas. Disney ain't got nothing on you! Merry Christmas! Enjoyed hopping with you this week.
ReplyDeleteAwww, thank you Cindy! Looking forward to catching up on this week's tours... I'm still decorating! ;)
DeleteHi Jennifer
ReplyDeleteThis post just makes me happy! No one can do a colorful Christmas better than you! Your house just screams happy! Even though I am much more conservative with color and pattern, I so appreciate it in others homes.
Oh wow. That is absolutely gorgeous!
