JEWEL TONES THANKSGIVING TABLE 2024

JEWEL TONES THANKSGIVING TABLE 2024

It's so hard to believe that we're less than a week away from Thanksgiving!  Earlier this week I set a Thanksgiving Table and am excited to share it with you today.  I used some warmer tones for Fall but there are still plenty of pops of color. I had planned to get some flowers to use as part of the centerpiece, but the magnolia leaves from my friend's tree that I shared with you recently were still looking so good I decided to trim them shorter and just use them all down the center of the table.   As I often like to do, rather than fully covering the table with a tablecloth, I folded the edges of a strip of fabric under and used that for a base.  Then I layered a strip of paper with a cane printed pattern on top.  It was sold as a "paper table runner" several years ago at Hobby Lobby, I'm not sure if they still carry it or not.  However, it's essentially wrapping paper so you could use any color or pattern you like and just trim the width.  That'......

MINI FALL HOME TOUR 2024

MINI FALL HOME TOUR 2024

I used to do almost as much decorating for Fall as I did for Christmas, but in the past few years I've pared it down a bit.  I'm not sure if there's any specific reason for it, but probably because it's usually still one million degrees until late October at least and it never feels like Fall so it's hard to get in the mood... ha!  If you saw  this year's Fall Porch  a few days ago it's pretty decked out, so I just added a few pieces for Fall here and there inside the house.   I painted these colorful pumpkins several years ago but haven't used them in the past few years, it's been fun to have them out again.   Navy Spiral Candles   ||  Blue & White Bowl or Similar Here , both on sale!  ||  Gingham Painted Pumpkin tutorial here    ||  Coffee Table Books- Modern Mix, Paper to Petal , A Place to Call Home I kept the mantel simple and just added a few magnolia clippings.   Mirror  or similar he......

PINK, ORANGE, BLACK AND WHITE FALL FRONT PORCH 2024

Hello everyone!  I'm sure you're seeing plenty of Christmas content elsewhere since Halloween is over, but I've finally got my Fall front porch ready to share with you today!  It's got similar components to what I've used in the past, and I once again used a pink and orange color scheme but to me it has a different, more whimsical feel this year.   I've had these faux stacked pumpkins for several years, but haven't really used them the past few years on the porch- I didn't like something about the colors but couldn't put my finger on what needed to change.  I thought I would fully repaint them, but once I really thought about it I realized the black stripes on the orange pumpkin were the main thing bothering me.  So, I just painted over those with pink and added a few orange polka dots to the top pumpkin to carry the orange through.  Love them now! PAMPAS GRASS, FLORAL FANS, PUMPKIN AND PINE CONE THANKSGIVING TABLE

One week and counting!  I'm hosting my family for Thanksgiving this year, and while I set a Thanksgiving Table every year to share inspiration with you, it will be nice to actually sit down to it this year on the big day!  This year my centerpiece was my starting point.  I was totally awed and inspired by the stunning florals that Leah from Ribbon and Blooms created for my son and daughter in law's wedding .  (We should have the professional photos really soon and I'll share with you!)  She made the most gorgeous piece for the altar that was also used at the reception, I haven't been able to quit thinking about it!  I already had several similar elements that she used for the base of the arrangement and loved the color palette, so I thought a loose spin on it would made a pretty Thanksgiving centerpiece.    Black and White Spotted Plates  ||  Gingham Napkins- Polyester or  Cotton   ||  Black Faux Bamboo Flatware here ......
