FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Friday!  It's good to be back with you today for my first Five Friday Favorites of 2022.  I have so many good things that I've wanted to share with you lately, so FFF will be packed with goodies for the next few weeks!  Here's what I'm excited to show you today-

'Tis the season for cute accessories!  I recently found these darling heart earrings and have enjoyed wearing them leading up to Valentine's Day, but I won't stash them away after the holiday!  These cuties will stay in my year-round rotation.

They're backed with felt and super light, and priced right for a fun, festive holiday touch to your outfit.

I thought all of these were winners!  If you grew up in the 80's like I did, don't the ones with the little dangling charms remind you of the charm necklaces we used to have?  Ha!  (Scroll left and right for more and click on item photo for more details.)

If you've followed me for long you know that I'm a bargain hunter.  However, there are a few things that I'll splurge on and Ugg shoes and slippers are one of them!  Nothing beats them for warmth in my opinion and I can wear them all day long.  And even though I said I'll splurge on them, I'm still only buying them when they're on sale!  I had some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket and had been wanting some new slippers.  While searching I came across a good sale on the website a few weeks ago, and now there's and even bigger selection in the Ugg Closet Sale going on this weekend.  Here's what I bought-

I went in search of slippers but saw these short platform boots and added them to my cart too! Sometimes I wish that regular Ugg boots had just a bit of lift or shape in the heel, and although it's still a flat sole I feel like the platform takes the boots up a notch. I've worn them often since I received them, my kids joke that I'm wearing my "moon boots".  🙄🤣 I feel like they might run just a tad big (my heel slips a little in my regular size) so if you're a half size I would probably size down- I'm a pretty true sz. 10 though and don't think I would have liked a full size down.  I also got these panther slippers and these bow slippers, both of which I absolutely love but only have a few sizes left in.  There are other similar ones in the sale, though, check out all of the styles here!  These are some of my faves currently on sale, many available in additional colors as well- (click on item photo for more details)

And since I was wearing them in the photo above, I thought I'd share these fleece lined leggings with you too.  I had to make some returns at Old Navy earlier this week and these happened to catch my eye.  I knew we had a snowstorm and several days of below freezing temps looming, so I picked up a pair to try. I have a few other pairs of lined leggings, but these are definitely the thickest of them all with a soft fleece lining, a wide waist band, and zippered side pockets. I find them true to size, but if you're between sizes or want a slightly looser fit, size up.  I have so many pairs of black leggings but often don't care for many other solid colors, but I really liked this creamy winter white for a change.  They are perfect for cold days, especially when out running errands, and I think I'll pick up a few other colors- several of them are on sale for under $20!

I love for my nails to be painted, but with all of the projects I do I'm really hard on them and have yet to find a polish that won't be chipped after a day or two.  I've seriously debated going back to acrylics like I did 20 years ago (tried gel a few years ago and didn't really like it) but I don't particularly enjoy going to the salon or the thought of that ongoing expense.  I got a new at home gel system for Christmas that I'm trying out and will share with you soon, but in the meantime I had a few nails that tore really short so I wanted to wait to paint them. While waiting for them to grow out a bit, I decided to try a set of press on nails that I've had in my drawer for a while.  Long story short... they're awesome!!

I tried some glue-on nails a few years ago and liked them ok, but these were so much easier and faster to apply, and I'm going on 12 days without one falling off!  I have not been easy on them either... I've done dishes, soaked them in the tub, worked in the yard, crafted, and hot glued and they stayed perfect!   I think I might actually have to take them off because my nails have grown out and they're starting to look obvious.  They were originally a more neutral color but after wearing that a few days I just used one coat of a regular brighter polish on top and they haven't chipped one bit.    I like the short but they come in a variety of lengths and lots of colors.  I totally give these 5 stars!

We don't have a local Belk (boo!) but there's one in my daughter's little college town.  I like to pop in when I'm visiting her and recently found a few darling things- I always do from their Crown and Ivy line!  You might have seen me wearing this heart cardigan in my Valentine's Day Home Tour yesterday.  It's mid-weight, true to size, and super soft- I love all of the layering possibilities I'll have with the 💖 pattern.  It also comes in navy with colorful hearts, super cute as well!

Heart Sweater  ||  Bow Flats (similar here and here)  ||  Jeans (Comfy and affordable!  I removed the cuff stitches for a straight ankle fit)  ||  Gingham Shirt  ||  Lightweight Heart Earrings  ||  Pink Rug

Here are a few other pieces I found while I was there- couldn't resist those pink and red leggings and the color mix on this reversible vest.  The sherpa side is so soft and warm!

Heart Sweater (also in navy)   ||  Pink/Green/Navy Plaid Reversible Sherpa Vest (more colors too) ||  Red and Pink Animal Print Leggings  ||  Striped Rug- out of stock, sorry!

While I was there I also browsed the Home department and found THE BEST accent pillows!  It's SO hard to find ready-made pillows in the bold colors that I love and use in my home, but there was a whole colorful shelf of them, with fuzzy polka dots/pom poms on them to boot!  The fabric is a really nice, sturdy quality and there is a zipper closure if you prefer to replace the insert with a down one.

That's it for this week, have a great weekend everyone!
