Thank you for your positive responses a couple of weeks ago on my first Closet Chronicles post! So, let's keep going! Here's what I've been wearing lately...
I've found several Amazon tops this summer that are winners! The exaggerated ruffle sleeves on this one are fun and the fabric is light and comfortable. I was drawn to this pink and red color combo but there are a lot of different options that make it hard to choose.

A friend that I follow on IG recommended these pants and I'm so glad I tried them! The quality is fantastic, the flowers are all stitched/embroidered and they look like they should have been hanging in a fancy boutique! The style feels like a cross between joggers and barrel pants- elastic waist, pockets, slightly flared legs and elastic around part of the hem to cinch it in a bit. This red blouse is easy care and light weight but structured. I wish I had shown in the photo but there is a stripe that runs down the side and a couple on the back yoke, such a cute detail! The front is a straight blouse fit but the back is gathered and flowy, super flattering! Both come in a variety of color options of course.

For church one week I wore this blue eyelet blouse with my white flare jeans and pink block heel sandals I've shared with you recently. The blouse is cotton, lined, and a cousin to another one of my fave Amazon eyelet tops. These jeans are my favorite Old Navy cut- they're the same ones I like to cut for an ankle length but I also have several pairs that I leave long. That exact flare is sold out but the same line in a slightly smaller flare bootcut is available. A clutch I've had for years added a fun pop of color.
These light weight pink pull on pants are so easy to throw on. I paired them with one of my favorite light wash denim shirts for a day I was just working around the house and fixing dinner for a friend. It was comfy but still felt pulled together when I dropped off dinner and visited for a bit.
Day 2 at Emily's- we had lunch and poked around Northpark Mall (so fun!) before driving back home that night. This top is from last year and sold out- but y'all said even if things are older you don't mind me still sharing ideas! You might have something similar in your closet. This hat is my go-to "I don't want to fix my hair" (or wash it!😂) accessory, and I added a skinny scarf for some extra color and pattern. Those skinny scarves don't feel as hot and overwhelming on these brutal summer days as a regular scarf. I made my first ever premium denim purchase- and now I get the hype! These Mother jeans were randomly in the sale room at my local Anthro, they weren't even marked down online but I got a sale on sale price and decided to try them. They are the exact fit and cut I've been looking for, love them. I found a bit of a deal to link for you below but they are definitely an investment piece. From the reviews I've read and my experience I think this style runs a little big. These more affordable jeans are still my closet staples too with a similar stretch and feel.

There are a couple of new colors in the $17 viral pants, I have the leopard already but added this dark camo pattern to my closet. They have elastic in the back waistband and come in a large variety of sizes and multiple length options. I wanted a more cropped pair this time so I hemmed them a couple of inches. This was a day we traveled for 4 hours to see Emily, shopped, and then changed shoes and went for a walk around a beautiful lake near where she lives. I might as well have been wearing sweatpants these were so comfortable for all of those activities all day! I did some pattern mixing and paired them with a classic blue and white stripe button up, but they would work with any kind of denim shirt, white, or even some bright colors like red or pink would be fun.

I got this cotton gingham dress last year and it's such an easy throw on and go outfit. Add a fun scarf or statement necklace and switch between sandals or sneakers, it's so versatile! Ditch the belt that it comes with and add your own or wear it loose like this. It's cotton and has pockets.
We had a semi-casual dinner to go to and I pulled out this black and white gingham maxi skirt and paired with with an oversized soft denim shirt (size down for a still plenty oversized fit) that I knotted at the waist. Later I wished I had just tucked it in and worn a belt, but I'll do that next time! This skirt is so versatile to dress up or down, these incredibly comfortable sneakers from a nostalgic brand helped it lean more casual.

Caleb was in town recently for a friend's bachelor weekend, so we got to have lunch and spend a few hours with him. This is another winning Amazon top that I paired with these wide leg cuffed jeans, loved it! The jeans are another brand that's quickly becoming a favorite, they have just the right amount of stretch. I've generally find that I prefer sizing down when I'm in between in this brand and I've found the best deals on them here.

Alright, that's it for this round! It's still a billion degrees here but I'll try to start looking for some things to share for Fall. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
