WHAT I WORE LATELY || CLOSET CHRONICLES {1}

I'm starting something a little new today- more along the lines of how I'm organizing posts than anything else. I know I often share clothing with you in my Five Friday Favorites posts, but I usually have more outfits that I mean to photograph and share on the blog but don't get around to it. Or, I forget to snap a pic of what I'm wearing and share it here- not just on social media! #badblogger  So, I'm making a conscious effort to be better at chronicling my daily outfits here on this page with you.  Every day isn't sharable- plenty of days I'm in my workout clothes all day or I'm wearing something too old to be able to link for you. It's tricky because older pieces can bring inspiration for something similar you might have in your own closet, but also frustrating if you like something I'm wearing but I'm not able to source it for you. OK, enough rambling... let's get on with the outfits I wore lately!

This striped dress is so cute!  The fabric is a nice crisp weight that's 100% cotton with a slip lining sewn in and has pockets. The simple silhouette is flattering for anyone and it's totally bra friendly- nothing special needed.  It comes in a lot of colors and patterns, I've already got a different color on the way.  And, it also comes in this darling short version with 30 color options if you prefer a shorter length. It's true to size, I'm in a M.

I reach for this caftan shirt dress often, and also have it in the khaki color.  Works great as a cover-up too!  It's cotton and has pockets, size up for a more relaxed fit. I'm wearing a L.

These light weight gauzy pants have been so comfortable to wear this summer. They have pockets, a fun split hem with tie, and elastic waist with drawstring. I might suggest sizing down if in between- they're supposed to fit loose and baggy but I'm wearing a M and think I might have preferred a S.

We were thrilled to help celebrate Kenzi's younger sister as she graduated from college at a casual lunch gathering a while back- so proud of her!   These slightly cropped pink palazzo pants come in a good variety of colors and are true to size, I'm in a M. They would be super for traveling, too!

Hope you had a Happy Fourth!  I wore this cotton puff sleeve ruffle trim gingham top and loved it!  It was cool and comfortable all day long.  It comes in 9 darling colors that make it hard to choose, and I would say  probably TTS but I sized up to a L here. Paired it with my red, white, and blue bead necklace and darker cropped wide leg jeans.

Emily's outfit was so cute for the Fourth too!  This snug t-shirt comes in a bunch of colors and I love that she wanted to pair it with a scarf to mix and match some pattern... good girl! 😁 The scarf was a clearance find but I'll link a couple of similar ones below the photo.  She's normally a M top but sized up to a L in this shirt. Ray's exact golf shirt pattern is sold out but he really likes the style and there are other patterns and colors here

Several of these were things I ordered recently for the Prime sale, this set included.  Super comfy and butter soft! Love the curved split hem, slight bat wing sleeve, pockets, and variety of colors. I'm in a L and love it with this new fun chunky necklace! My Mom bought the same set and said she really likes it too.

These gingham maxi skirts are just so fun to wear!  I've ordered another color, too. It's wrinkle resistant and lightweight so would be great for travel, easy care and has pockets.  I would size up, the waistband seems to run small. It's definitely a piece that is easy to dress up or dress down with a t-shirt and sneakers.  Mom also ordered one of these and said she loves hers too.

I thought this Yellowstone graphic t-shirt was so cute, and when I pulled it out to wear it I had to pair it with the $16 viral leopard pants! We're planning a trip to Yellowstone later this year (after having to cancel it last Fall) so I thought this shirt would be fun.  The pants are incredibly comfortable with elastic in the back waistband, come in 3 length options and are true to size (wearing full length M here).  They just added a couple of new colors so be sure to check out the cute blue paisley and dark palette camo patterns too- find out what the 20K almost five star reviews are all about!  And, if you haven't noticed... I've told you I wear some color of these flip flops almost every day, these pics are proof!

That's it for this week! Let me know if you enjoy this post that's strictly a variety of outfits and if you'd like to see them more regularly (every week or two).  I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!

  3. I always like to see your outfits and would also love to see outfits you liked that include pieces that aren’t available anymore, for inspiration and to get ideas about brands that might work (maybe with general price points for those?). Thank you!
