FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Friday!  I can't believe we're less than a week away from Thanksgiving already.  I'm curious, have you pulled out your Christmas decorations yet?  There's such a hot debate on about when the "right" time is to decorate, but I say decorate whenever you want to in your own home!  I'll be pulling mine out in the next few days to begin getting things ready to share with you... so excited!  (*This post contains affiliate links, including Amazon. 1) Plaid Chargers- 'Tis the season for setting all the tables!  I'll be sharing my Thanksgiving Table with you tomorrow, but I came across these plaid chargers and they reminded me that they are some of my faves!  Both the red tartan and black and white gingham patterns are so versatile and can be used for multiple holidays and occasions rather than just Christmas.

2) My friend Emily was recently wearing this button tunic shirt in one of her Instagram stories.  I've seen the traditional shorter version but had never noticed the longer tunic style.  I ordered a few to try and they might just be my favorite of the season so far!  They seem to be a relaxed true to size fit but size up if you'd like an oversized feel.

3) Rechargeable LED Travel Mirror- I have always just carried a basic flat mirror in my bag when we travel, but I recently bought this lighted mirror and it's a major upgrade!  It's not only great for travel, but also around the house if you have a vanity counter table, or just like to put on your makeup sitting at the kitchen table!  But please tell me I'm not the only one that does their make-up in the car to save time when we have a drive ahead of us...  ha!  I've already used this on several trips and it's so great to use rather than the not-so-ideal lighting normally found in hotels.  Fabulous gift idea too!

4) Quilted Lightweight Down Alternative Vest- Last season one of my best friends got this vest for Christmas.  She got SO much wear out of it, and she even brought it on our ski trip and wore it almost daily.  It was a great top layer on some of our warmer ski days!

She convinced me that it was a must have piece but they were sold out for the season.  Thankfully it's a piece that returns every year, and I've been waiting to snag one!

What we love about it...  it's super lightweight, yet incredibly warm.  There's a down alternative filling that is just as good as the real thing without the feathers poking out.  We also love the style of the back, it dips longer in back so it is perfect for leggings and there is an drawstring waist that can be cinched up if you wish to create some shape.  The tall neck keeps me extra warm too!  Fair warning, this is an investment piece splurge but totally worth it in my opinion!   I wish this site had better sales but I caught a little bit of one and had some rewards points saved up.

Did you spot my other button neck tunic?  You know I had to get the green too!  And these cute leggings are on major clearance.  Several styles and true to size.  Speaking of clearance, here's some great extra 50% off already clearance priced deals!  I purchased several of these things a few weeks ago so I can verify how great they are... the gingham ruffle top will be perfect for game days next Fall, I just wore the Hidden Lake t-shirt layered under an open plaid shirt, you bet I bought the gingham hat, and the flower earrings are so cute in person!  Just picked up a few more pieces here for gifts (that darling lock and key necklace set is $7!) but let's keep that our secret!

5) Bat Wing Crew Neck Top/Sweater- I wasn't sure what to accurately call this... it seems like a sweater but isn't really a woven sweater type fabric.  It's super soft and a bit of a lighter weight than a sweater, so it might be a good option if traditional sweaters keep you too warm.  I'll wear a layer under it on cold days.  But, I really like the style!  It's tighter around the bottom edge to give it some shape at the bottom but stretchy and forgiving.  You can get multiple looks depending on how you style the waist.  Pull it all the way down for a tunic look, bunch it up and leave the "waistband" showing like I did here, pull up a front tuck, or tuck it all the way under for a blousy look.  It's more versatile and flattering than I expected, I really like it!  Stick with your regular size.  I sized up here and shouldn't have, I'll order another that's my normal size.

I'm wearing it with the leather pants that I shared with you a few weeks ago.  I told you I had ordered this copper color and wasn't sure what it would look like, but I really like the color!

That's it for this week.  I'll be back for a rare Saturday post tomorrow to share our Thanksgiving table with you, and I'm working on my annual D&T favorites gift guide to share with you early next week.  Enjoy your weekend!
