BAMBOO BEAUTY

I thought you might like to see my latest Craigslist find that I wasn't necessarily looking for, but couldn't resist!

I'm not sure where it will go yet.  In front of the fireplace might be cute, but I really like a pair of separate stools there.  I've been wanting a bench for my utility room, and this one fits the space perfectly.  We also have a master bathroom makeover looming next year, and it would be nice to have in there.  Another possibility.

I love the shape and design, but it obviously needs a makeover.  The cushion should be easy enough to remove and recover, and the possibilities are endless for the frame.  As I searched for inspiration, I came across several good options...

Keep it natural with a pretty upholstered seat (it's in good enough shape to keep the finish as is, although it does have that awful speckled finish, so there's that to consider).

White is always a pretty {safe} choice-

Paint it black with an animal print or geometric cushion-

But you know the idea of a glossy fun color is calling to me too!

Or, can you ever go wrong with gold?

By the way, that's the stylish Jillian Harris, who I'm looking forward to meeting in person next month on the Sailing With the Scotts design cruise.  Are you going with us?  You totally should!  Click the logo on my sidebar for all the details and a special offer (special offer for design bloggers here)!

I honestly have no clue where I'm headed with this one... it will be a surprise to us all!  I need to decide for sure where it will go and that will help with the design direction.  I'll keep you posted.

Here's a few more of my favorite Craigslist makeovers-
