FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Friday!  It's hard to believe we are already into November, hop aboard the speedy express train to wrapping up 2026, right??!  I haven't started decorating for Christmas quite yet but will begin in the next few days so I can start sharing things with you, so Christmas is on my mind for several of today's selections. I'm excited to share this week's Five Friday Favorites with you, so let's get right to it!

1) I've admired some Christmas lighting from Anthropologie, but they've been more than I wanted to spend.  So, I searched for more budget friendly items and found some great look for less alternatives!  First, I fell in love with these Moravian star lights from Anthro last season.  I found these that are exactly the same for a better deal and used them on my mantel garland, they're still available! I kept these handy all year, they're fun for birthdays and other holidays too. And New Year's! (I don't have them turned on here but you get the drift!)

I also loved these large org string lights from Anthro but not the price!  I found these and ordered them as an alternative.  So the differences?  The Anthro orbs are 6" and have 5 globes per string, and the look for less are 4" globes but have 9 lights per string. The Anthro lights appear to be a really wam yellow color and look to possibly have more tiny LED lights inside each globe, but you know what?  For a $240 savings I think I'll give my look for less alternative a try this year! (And I'll definitely style them better than having the cord showing like the photo of the tree- ha!)

2) I've been searching for some new flats this season that aren't loafers (I have enough of those!).  I think Mary Janes are darling but I'm getting a bit of a bunion 😢 on one foot and most are cut so that they dig in and hurt across the base of my toe. However, I found these recently and love them!  They aren't as straight across at the toe, more of a V shaped cut so they don't bother me at all. They also have a some padding in the sole and arch, so they are comfy! My foot is a little narrow in this style, so I like the adjustable straps across the top to cinch them in a bit.

I found several retailers to link with a variety of colors and sizes, so hopefully you can find one that works for you- arrows scroll for more options and click photo to shop.  Most will have a variety of styles and colors in each listing.

These are another brand and a little different style with a small heel, but cut along the same lines.  The top edge is far enough back from the toes that they are comfortable, and also have cushy padding in the sole and arch.  Several colors available here or here.

3) There's a whole new line of these quilted totes and cosmetic or catch-all pouches out, and they are adorable!  Depending on the color, the totes have the cutest ruffled or contrast trim, it goes without saying they are perfect candidates for a cute monogram, too! The pouches would make great stocking stuffers!

4) I've been growing my collection of Shiny Brites over the years.  Some are vintage, but I've also gathered a pretty good stash of newer ones in the past several years (they'll be vintage some day- ha!). I usually shop the after Christmas sales for them, but I found a good selection that are priced right NOW!

I found one of my exact sets and a really nice selection available, click the product photos to shop.

And in the spirit of the Shiny Brite design, these are also a fabulous jumbo shatterproof option.  I think they would be so fun to have a few to mix in on a porch or garland!

5) While you're shopping at some of those retailers, there's a new round of really great hooked and needlepoint pillows and stockings at super affordable prices compared to boutique pricing where they would normally be found. And can we just talk about this tree skirt??? Only a few left of those but wanted to share!  These are pillows I've bought in the past from both brands just for an example-

Sadly those two are sold out but here are the really cute current options- this one is one of my faves this season! (A few of my product images are not displaying, you can see the entire collection of hooked pieces HERE and HERE, and the entire collection of sassy needlepoint pieces and HERE and HERE.)

Lastly, I've been trying to share something with you on each FFF list that is not product related... I've needed to improved my balance on my right leg, and I've been enjoying this lady's balance (and stretching) videos on YouTube.  If you have a favorite to improve balance let me know, I'll try some others!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, is anyone who isn't a blogger 😉 decorating for Christmas yet?
