I've made a couple of trips to help Emily get settled in at her new apartment in Dallas over the past month. As I was arranging and fluffing the other day, I realized that we used a lot of home items from Walmart! I was going to share a thing or two in my last FFF post, but when I realized how many there were I decided they needed their own post. The best part is, they are all either marked down or on clearance! I'm working on a post for later this week to show how we decorated her room, but you'll get a few sneak peeks as I share these items today.
OK I might have picked up this striped planter for me while I was shopping for her... I noticed these darling striped planters at the beginning of the season and thought they were adorable. The price was a bit high for me then but now they are marked down (even though the price doesn't specifically say "rollback" or "clearance", they are now less than the original price was earlier this year.) I think this style has such Anthro vibes, it comes in a variety of cute colors and 2 different sizes. Definitely hard to choose! There are so many other cute styles and patterns of pots and planters on sale as well, see a variety here.
Moving on to some things we used to get her all set up- She asked for this set of stoneware dishes for her birthday since she had only had a stash of plastic dishes through college. The color is so pretty and rich and she likes the lip around the edge of the plates. BTW, those plastic dishes were GREAT for college life- she had a combo of the $.50 and $.98 plates and $.50 bowls that served her well during her entire time at school, but it was time for some grown up dishes! She's had this $12 flatware set for a couple of years and the quality and weight is pleasantly surprising, look at the fun bamboo style too for the same price!
She had always used pots and pans that belonged to her housemates through college, so she needed her own set now. She bought this ceramic non-stick cookware set and has been very pleased with it.
I've bought several sets of these sheets for the kids over the years for their beds here and away at college. They are very soft, highly recommend! Emily currently has this cute set on her bed, but there is a good variety of colors, patterns, and sizes.
She has a large bathroom with a good amout of floor space between her shower and vanity, so this 3x5 rug fit perfectly rather than trying to do separate rugs in front of her sink and outside the shower. It might look familiar- I've bought this rug 5-6 times in different colors and sizes for our house too! (I didn't plan to post this photo, was just snapping some pics to show her place to my Mom. Excuse the lack of styling- ha!)
She has a giant shower with one tiny corner shelf- oof! I sent her this 3 shelf shower caddy set and it's been perfect for extra room. Each shelf is separate, she could have separated or spread them out more for her bigger bottles if she wanted to, and they are very secure when attached as directed.
I didn't know he had done this, but Ray bought this digital photo frame for her to load up and set on her desk. So sweet! She works from home some days and has really enjoyed the family and friends photos that it scrolls through.
I had this arched standing floor mirror at home but she needed one so off it went to Dallas! It's such a good price and can be hung, leaned, or propped up with a stand that's on the back.
I didn't think to grab a photo but we also got this glass food storage set for the fridge and she bought this tv stand and assembled it by herself!
Those are the WM finds we've used for her place so far, but here are a few others of note-
This is the 100' solar string lights that I hung across our back fence this summer and we love them! I also like this 4 pack of dishcloths that are marked down a bit.
How darling are these clearance rechargeable lamps? 4 colors, I love the shape and think they are so cute for an outdoor tabletop, tucked in a bookshelf, or any random spot that doesn't have access to an outlet. Two of the blue ones might have just jumped in my cart! This pair of best selling solar outdoor lanterns has a huge markdown, putting the set just under $10. How charming would a few scattered about in backyard trees be?
If you have kids headed to college this electric kettle is so handy if allowed in their room, and WM always has the best deals on risers for a bit of extra storage under the bed (6 inch or 8 inch available).
Markdown and clearance links for everything I've mentioned and a few others that caught my eye-
Before I go I wanted to mention this too- I shared some WM fashion deals in a FFF post a while back and just looked through that selection again. I found several things were further reduced making the deals even better! I just got in this french terry lounge/pj set and it's so soft and comfy, it's one of WM's best selling brands and the SET is $12 in multiple colors and sizes.
Also too good to pass up- a few colors of this classic light weight cardigan are $12, the white is $4!! And you bet I snatched up this cutie pink $3 hat!
I can't believe some of the crazy deals in the Men's department, I snagged several of these for Ray. Multiple colors of this button up oxford are $8, several colors of these Men's flat front shorts are under $6 and these striped pique polo shirts are $6-8!
Never miss a post!

I love that rug!!!! I am going to share your blog page/newsletter in my newsletter since you are local. I think my clients would love all of your stuff. I thought of you last week when I was in Amsterdam. There was a huge bow like you made for your house. I'll message a photo for you. I'd love for you to make me one of those if you ever decide to make and sell. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photo, that bow was really cute!
DeleteThanks for this post. I’m buying the enamel cookware. I wanted the sweaters that you mentioned are $12 and $4, but they came up at $22 each. Did you order online or buy instore? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi! I ordered online. Only certain colors were $12 and $4, were you possibly looking at a color that wasn't marked down?
