FESTIVE MIX AND MATCH HOLIDAY OR WORKWEAR OUTFITS

This post is sponsored by Walmart.

When the calendar fills up over the holiday season with countless gatherings and events to go to, be wardrobe ready with some great basic mix and match pieces in the closet to create multiple looks!  With 3 pairs of pants and 3 jackets from some of my favorite Walmart fashion lines (plus a few basics already in my closet), I created 8 different cute holiday outfits and probably could have mixed in a few more too! I styled a range of looks from casual but polished to a bit dressier, all of these outfits will come in handy for various gatherings over the next few months and most would also be great workwear for office parties too!

I shared these plaid pants with you a few weeks ago, but didn't realize there was a jacket to match until afterwards.  Totally loving the set but each separate piece gives a whole new round of outfit options. (And my opinion is that it's a must to mix in a leopard bag or shoes from your closet with this pattern sometimes!) 😁

I thought these little rhinestone bow flats were so cute for the season.  They're so pretty and a nice alternative to heels but the pointed toe and strappy back still make them flattering for dressier outfits. Comfortable and true to size, they come in hot pink too and there's also a pink heel version.  💖

Faux leather is everywhere this year and I love it mixed with something sparkly or luxurious like velvet on the top for the holidays, or just a great patterned jacket.

It's in most of these photos... a great white button up is an absolute must!  I've bought about 4 of these is different colors, you absolutely won't believe how incredible they are for $16- the loads of near perfect reviews agree with me!!!

My favorite things about them other than the price obviously- *nice, crisp, easy care fabric, *fantastic collar for popping!, *there is a hidden modestly snap at the bust good for extra coverage, but I always find it's just the right spot for when the button above is too high and the button below is too low where I want the neckline to close.

A great pair of jeans in the mix is always a must!  I've read rave reviews about them, but this is the first time I tried some jeans from Sophia Vergara's line.  Now I get the hype- they're so comfortable, nice quality, and stylish all at a great price point! I didn't have a good pair of flare jeans so I wanted to try this button fly version.  There's just enough stretch to make them really comfortable and flattering, love them!

I love any of these jackets with a graphic tee and jeans too.  I just grabbed one from my closet but it would also be so fun with a cute Christmas t-shirt.

FIT NOTES:  I would say that these pieces are true to size with these considerations...  If you're in between on the plaid pants or jeans, size down.  The plaid blazer is a comfortable fit in your normal size, if you want it more fitted you can size down. I sized up in the red and black buffalo coat.

Although these last few things don't really match most of the outfits above, I still wanted to share them with you today.  I stumbled across a few cute accessories that would make such great gifts!  This pink and red check sherpa tote bag is way too cute, I'm going to enjoy using it through the holidays and on past Valentine's Day. It's a generous size- plenty of room for my laptop and all of my essentials... and not-so-essentials that seem to accumulate in my bag!

I saw these pink and red gloves after I had already purchased the bag, aren't they fun? Genuine leather and so soft, unless your hands are very small I'd recommend the L/XL (I got the S/M and they are a pretty tight fit, I would prefer the larger size).

I also snagged this versatile sherpa sling bag.  It can be worn in back or front and is the perfect size- right between a belt bag and a standard backpack with multiple zippers, compartments, and an adjustable strap.  I think these would be SUCH fabulous $17 gifts for tweens, teens, young adults, or really any age!
