SIMPLE VALENTINE'S DAY DECORATIONS AROUND THE HOUSE

I don't do much decorating for Valentine's Day, just a few little touches here and there to add some cheer is the midst of a dreary winter!  Today I'm sharing my Valentine's Day Mantel and a few simple Valentine's Day decorations I've sprinkled around the house.

I kept a few pieces that were up for my Christmas mantel but mixed in a little more pink and red along with the XOXO sign that I made last year.

The heart garland was the easiest thing- just some dollar store hearts strung together with pom poms glued on!



This is the sweetest set of watercolor scripture cards that I've been keeping on my coffee table.  I requested them for a gift last year and have enjoyed rotating through the various verses so much!

This picture is terrible but I added a little hoop wreath that I made last year to a faux boxwood wreath that I left hanging on our door after Christmas- (here's a better look at the hoop wreath)



I tucked a simple little painted heart canvas into this vignette-




and pink tulips are a definite must for Valentine's Day!  I had a few extra gingham hearts so I added those to the centerpiece on our breakfast table too.



So with those few little touches we're ready for Valentine's Day!  Although we're bracing for historic low temperatures (high of 5!!!) this weekend and possibly up to 15" of snow... It's been the mid 80's since we've had a long, deep cold spell like this in Oklahoma.  We'll snuggle up and enjoy it, hope you have a lovely holiday weekend!
