Welcome to Part 2 of this year's Christmas Home Tour! Thanks so much for all of your kind words on yesterday's Living Room tour, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Today I'm sharing our Porch, Entry, and Dining Room all ready for the holidays.

One small change I made was that I switched out the lanterns. I just put these out yesterday and honestly, looking at these photos, I don't love them! I love the gold lanterns but don't think they're fitting in quite right here, so I'll probably switch up a few things. Do you constantly keep fluffing and tweaking things through the season, too? I do like the metallic trees inside them though for something different other than candles.

I used the same little flocked trees that I found last year in my urns again. I'm honestly surprised and so pleased at how they held up in the elements last year. Through (real) snow, wind, and rain, the flocking stayed perfect! They're set in a heavy concrete base so I just slip them down in the urns and secure them with a bit of dirt around them, then cover that with extra plastic ornaments.

Well it's pretty cold outside, let's step inside and take a look at the Entry.
I just can't get enough of these colorful little houses this year! Last week I shared a few projects that I made for Christmas, including rounding up and painting these thrifted village houses and making this super easy sign. I think this little spot is my favorite this year.
I completely ran out of room for my nutcrackers this year, but I couldn't bear not to put them out, so I lined them up in the windowsills beside the front door.
Lastly today, let's take a look at the Dining Room. This room got a little makeover earlier this year so it's been fun to decorate it for Christmas.

I rounded up almost every glass dome or cloche I could find, and all of my remaining bottle brush trees and lined them up for the centerpiece. I really like this arrangement because it's easy to add place settings when needed without having to move anything, and everything is low enough to see across the table but it still makes a big impact.
I added in a few extra little painted houses where I could fit them also.

I like to pop some round ornaments in the cups in the china cabinet for a little extra pop of color.
The chandelier got a little fancier too-
Excited for this room to be full of friends, family, and good food through the season!
Thanks so much for visiting, don't forget to check out the new It's a Colorful Life tours posted today (schedule at end of this post). Ok, I'm off to fix the lanterns on the porch and get things ready for tomorrow's tour- see you then for the rest of my house!
This is so cheerful and inviting, thank you for sharing. It brightened my day. :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you have ever had your colors done for clothing? I am just guessing you are a 'winter' and it seems like you also like those choices in your interior. Which made me think that we probably are drawn towards decorating with our 'best' colors. Just a thought. :)
I honestly don't know but have wondered in the past! I definitely like to dress and decorate with similar colors, obviously! :)
DeleteHi, I enjoyed your colorful tour! Everything
ReplyDeleteLooks very festive!
Thank you so much, Rebecca!
DeleteIt's incredible how talented you are Jennifer! I'm just amazed everytime I read your blog. By any chance, can you tell me what color pink that you use to spray paint your Asian inspired plant holder. I'm a big spray paint person but the worst when it comes to picking out the right color. A problem that you surely don't have!! You get it right everytime! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
