2015 CHRISTMAS TOUR PART 1 {BLOGGER STYLIN' HOME TOURS}

"It's the most wonderful time of the year...."

 It's Blogger Stylin' Home Tours time!  I'm not sure how Christmas has already rolled around again, but here we are!  I'm thrilled to be participating in BSHT once again, Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Company always puts together such an inspirational group and I'm honored to be a part.

If you've come from withHEART, welcome!  I'm so glad you're here.  Oh my goodness, do you not just love everything Jen does?  Her reno has been amazing and I've loved watching the transformation in her home.  That kitchen???  Totally stunning!  And I pored over every page of her recent Better Homes and Gardens Refresh Magazine feature from her former home.  Good stuff!

Today I'm excited to show you around our entry, living room, and dining room.  If you're a new reader, we've been in our 20 year old home for about 8 years, working all along the way to update and make it more functional and personal for our family.

I almost forgot these guys were stored away until I flipped through this month's issue of HGTV Magazine and saw them featured in a darling Christmas home.  There were a great Craigslist find.

The Dining room is simple for now with a striped runner (just a piece of fabric folded and pressed), thrifted brass tray, and a few festive accessories.  I always tie plaid bows on the chandy and the pinecones are lightly pinned onto the chairs.

The reindeer were from Target years ago and the candles are from Homegoods.  I always find lots of great blue and white pieces from Ross.

If you're a regular reader, you know my love for green.  It's so much fun to mix in red for Christmas!  Although I've experimented with other color schemes at Christmas, I'm a red and green purist at heart.  :)

Last weekend's ice storm had one silver lining... lots of free greenery on everyone's curbs around the neighborhood!  You better believe I drove around loading my car up.  ;)

And of course, everything looks better at night during Christmas!

I hope you've enjoyed the tour!  And honestly, I wasn't quite finished with these rooms but had to stop and throw all of the boxes out of view to take photos. I'll be tweaking and working on the remainder of our home for the next few days, and will give you the rest of the tour next Friday for the 2015 Christmas Home Tours.  I'll hope you'll come back, the hot chocolate and cookies will be ready!

Now, let's continue today's tour with Shavonda from SG Style.  She has such a unique design style and I can't wait to see her tour.  And, did you catch her recent feature on Glitter Guide?

If you still need a bit more Christmas inspiration, I'd love for you to visit my previous BSHT Christmas tours, 2013 here and 2014 here.  And, don't forget about my giveaway with Scout & Nimble for a fabulous cowhide rug going on here, I hope you win!  And finally, if you're new here and enjoyed the tour today, I'd love for you to follow me on your social media of choice! (Instagram is my fave and I share lots there that never makes it to the blog.)

If you've missed out on any of the tours this week, here's your chance to catch up over the weekend...

  19. Where did you get that black and white gingham fabric that's being used on your pillows and the bench next to the Christmas tree? I've been searching for some with a pattern that big...

    1. Hi Mariah! The fabric is from Ikea. If that's not convenient for you, there is some at fabric.com that is very similar, just a tiny bit smaller in scale. I just checked and it looks like they aren't listing the black right now, but maybe it will be restocked soon. Here's some other colors or you can search elsewhere online. Hope that helps! https://www.fabric.com/SearchResults2.aspx?Source=Header&SearchText=premier+prints+anderson&CategoryID=1d5f47dc-9991-4088-93f3-26a376046a5e

  20. I have to say i really like the theme/design of your website. Do you find any web browser compatibility problems? Handful of my blog audience have complained about my site no more working properly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Are you experiencing any ideas to help fix this problem?
