FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Hello friends, happy weekend!  Remembering my Dad today on what would have been his 83rd birthday.  I still miss him every day, it's still hard to believe that he's not with us anymore. Grateful for the hope we have in Christ that we will see him again one day! So happy that Emily is home for the weekend, it's been a while since we've seen her- too long!  Looking forward to our time together. Here are my favorites from this week!  1) Striped Rechargeable Lamps-   how fun are these??? I think they look like they could have come straight from Anthropologie, but the price for a set of 2 is so affordable!  They have 3 light color options and are dimmable.   I bought all four colors to share with you and am having a really hard time deciding which one to keep, but I think it's going to be the green ones and the pink and orange ones.  I'm having visions of lining them down my Thanksgiving table, but this one has added a pretty little night time glo......

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Weekend, friends!  I've been out of town again for a few days this week for a quick trip (see below) but am enjoying being back home for a few days before we head out for one more quick trip next week.  I have not done one thing for Fall, hoping to remedy that this weekend and at least get my porch all decorated.  Have you done yours yet?  It finally feels like Fall thank the Lord, so that helps! I have some fun things to share for you for Five Friday Favorites this week, let's get to it!  1) Until just a few days ago it's still been HOT where we live and as much as I want to be on board with Fall, it's been hard to dress for Fall yet.  This sassy little jacket solves that problem!  I say jacket, but I'm just wearing it like a shirt here.  You could layer something underneath and wear it open for a cute look too. It's not really a jacket for warmth, it's super light weight fabric hence why it's perfect for this time of year.  The front......

I hope you're having a great weekend!  Here's this week's Five Friday Favorites.  1) This new hot pink/tan color combo of  New Balance sneakers - I'm a fan!  I have this same shoe in black and white already, this color combo is so fun!  I love the bright pink but the tan in the mix will help them transition into Fall well, and the lighter blush color is super cute too!  These are comfortable for all day wear for running errands, travel, or whatever!  Multiple color options, click product photo for different retailer options.  JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. 2) We use this  wireless remote control for outlets  every day. One remote works on multiple outlets, you just have to remember which outlet goes with which button on the remote- ha!  It's super handy for the lamps on the mantle which are tall and too hard to reach the switch easily, and they are especially useful at Christmas......

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Hi there, I hope you're having a great weekend! Caleb is in town for a friend's bachelor weekend so we got to spend a few hours with him yesterday, that doesn't happen often enough these days! Other than that we've just got a weekend around the house and church Sunday morning , it's SO hot that not doing much of anything sounds perfect to me! Here are my Five Friday Favorites for this week! 1) It seems like this summer has been particularly humid, and I had almost forgotton about my secret weapon hairspray.  I use one that's a bit lighter day to day, but my hair has been a wreck lately and I remembered to pull this out of my cabinet! It holds curl in humidity better than anything I've used.  It's serious, though!  I like to spray it in quick bursts, scrunch my curls, then let it dry and lightly comb them to tame strays if needed. It's good to have on hand for bad hair days- add to your cart on Amazon , Walmart , or Target . Weather Control Hairspray ......

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Weekend! Since I'm back with you after missing a few months, I've made quite the list of things to share with you over the next few Five Friday Favorites posts! With holidays and semi-annual sales coming up in the next few weeks too there are some great deals to be found.  I'll be working on sharing my best picks from those with you as well, but for today here are some favorites I've been loving lately!  I keep a couple of planters at our back gate and some of them have been worn out for a while, I just hadn't found something I liked to replace them with.  I recently came across this darling woven wicker look urn style planter with a scallop top edge and thought it would be perfect for the spot!  It comes with a plastic liner if you want to plant directly in it, but I usually just drop the plastic pot inside so I removed that to let water drain. My one concern was that they might tip over in the wind, but we've had some very high winds the past week or so ......
