Today I'm closing out 2015 by sharing my best makeovers from the past year. What is it about a great before and after that we all love so much?
We started early in the year with my Girl's Bold and Colorful Bedroom Refresh. We had redone her room several years before, but it needed a few improvements such as a bigger bed, new headboard, new bedding and different nightstands.
(We later added the marquee light over her bed, this was just a quick Instagram photo.)
Not surprisingly, many of this year's makeovers centered around my Master Bedroom Makeover this past Spring, since that was probably my biggest project of the year.
$20 Shiny Brass Chandelier Makeover- from shiny and swirly
Orange-y Oak Armoire Makeover- My dad made this massive armoire from scratch so it will always be in our family, but the orange tone had to go! This was my first experience using gel stain and I loved it.
Dated colonial style Maple Nightstand Makeover- this is one I'm probably most proud of, mainly because my crazy idea to fill in the grooves on the top drawer actually worked!
Our other huge project that seemed to last forever this year was our Patio Makeover. It's still <this close> to being finished, but here's a recap-
The official reveal will be coming in the next few months, we're still tweaking a few things and I'm waiting until it's green and pretty again outside!
Our Living Room Shelf Built-Ins Makeover made a huge difference in the look and feel of our space. With all of our neutral walls, floors, and furniture, I like the touch of drama and warmth that the dark shelves have added.
