PROJECT DESIGN, COMING THIS FRIDAY!

I'm excited to announce today that I'll be taking part in Project Design later this week!  Cindy of Rough Luxe Lifestyle and Mary Ann of Classic Casual Home have invited me and several other bloggers to participate in their Project Design: How to Style Your Spring Mantel Two Ways challenge this Friday, March 11.  If you have Spring Fever as bad as I do, I'm sure you're ready add some fresh touches indoors as the trees start flowering outdoors.  I'm working away putting the finishing touches on my mantels.  Believe it or not, one of them is foreign territory to me... it's all neutral!  Here's a sneak peek of the one that's more my usual style... IF YOU MISSED IT {JANUARY AND FEBRUARY}

Well, well.  We're already 1/5 of the way through 2016! (I totally just typed 2015 and had to look twice...yikes! Time really is flying fast! )  Here's a wrap up of the best posts so far this year.  I hope you'll have a chance over the weekend to catch up if you need to! HOW TO SET A PRETTY TABLE- SPRING/EASTER TABLESCAPE

Thank you all so much for your kind words on my Everything Home Magazine feature !  You all are the most supportive and encouraging readers around, and I'm so thankful to have you along on this journey with me! Today I thought you might enjoy seeing how my tables usually come together.  I took some time when assembling this one to take step by step photos of each layer that went on the table. I think that's one of the keys to a pretty table... layers!  I'll elaborate a little on each step- 1) Base-  this can be a runner, tablecloth, placemats, or I'm just using pieces of fabric more and more often.  I decide the size I want the piece to be, then iron the edges under for a crisp, even finish.  Sometimes I use a little bit of masking or painter's tape underneath to hold the edges in place (just make sure to iron first, then tape so your tape doesn't turn into a sticky mess on your fabric).  Sometimes I even have full tablecloths that I'd rat......

EVERYTHING HOME MAGAZINE FEATURE

I'm so happy to share my recent feature in Everything Home Magazine with you today.  Everything Home is a fairly new digital magazine that is packed full of home decor ideas and smart DIYs, as well as features and interviews with some of your favorite bloggers and creatives. MY FIVE FAVORITES: WAYS TO DECORATE FOR SPRING

My blog friends  Pam of  Simple Details ,  Lisa of  Shine Your Light ,  Kris of  Driven by Decor   and I  are back today (and the first Tuesday of every month) for this month's feature of My Favorite Five.  Today we're sharing our favorite ways to decorate for Spring.
