MY FAVORITE FIVE: SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY

We arrived in NYC yesterday and are already having the best time!  I'd love to see you over on Instagram for some peeks at what we're up to.   Today I'm thrilled to have Rhoda from Southern Hospitality here to share her Favorite 5 with you. MY FAVORITE FIVE: CASA WATKINS LIVING

Hi friends, I hop you all enjoyed your weekend!  We were scrambling to clean house and do laundry and stock the pantry and write out kid instructions and pack and go to church and finish blog posts, because as this post goes live we're on our way to NYC!!! I'll be attending the Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker workshop on Thursday, but we're headed in early for several days to ourselves to enjoy the city.  While I'm gone I'm so happy to have a few friends visiting to participate in My Favorite Five this week. MY FIVE FAVORITES: WAYS TO USE MIXED METALS

My blog friends  Pam of  Simple Details ,  Lisa of  Shine Your Light ,  Kris of  Driven by Decor   and I  are back today (and the first Tuesday of every month) for this month's feature of My Favorite Five.  Today we're sharing our favorite ways to mix metals! IF YOU MISSED IT... {JUNE-JULY}

So, my kids have officially started the countdown to school... just 19 more days for us! #booalarmclocks   I can't believe how the summer has flown by. We've enjoyed it and stayed busy for sure, and things have kept moving right along here on the blog as well.  So, here's a summer re-cap, just in case you've been on vacation or living at the pool or binging on too much Netflix! We kicked things off in June with two big tours- the inside of our house for summer, and the reveal of our completed patio that's been in progress since last summer! Summer Home Tour Patio Reveal In anticipation of the Fourth of July, I shared some favorite  red, white, and blue tabletop accessories  from Target, and then used some similar things that I already owned to create my own  red, white, and blue tablescape  for the holiday. MY FAVORITE 5 {PINTEREST ADDICT}

Happy Wednesday everyone!  While we're vacationing this week I've invited a few of my blog friends to guest host here by sharing their all-time favorite 5 posts or projects with us.  Today in Red River, several in our group (not me) set off on a vigourous hike to reach the summit of Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico at over 13,000 feet, and come back down all in a day. (I'll participate in a less strenuous hike on another day-I'm more of a nature walk kind of girl than big hard hiker).  Those of us who stayed behind are planning a horseback ride (much more fun in my book!).  I'll plan a big trip report all about Red River when we return.  It's a WONDERFUL summer family destination!
