INEXPENSIVE STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS

I find it so hard to believe that we're only 11 days away from Christmas!  While I'm not finished shopping, I have my game plan ready and Ray and I will get that knocked out on Friday.  For me, many times the stockings are the toughest part to get finished up!  In both of our extended families, we do stockings for everyone with around a $5 limit per person.  So today, I thought I'd share some of my favorite inexpensive stocking stuffers with you, some that are my favorite to give and some that are my favorite to receive.  Sorry, mostly women's and kids' ideas here... the guys are always hard for me!  They usually get Starbucks or their favorite fast food gift cards in their stockings.  Most of these can be picked up at the grocery store or drug store, but I'm including some sources if you want to order online, there's still time if you hurry!

Neutrogena Hand Cream- coming in at less than $5, this is my favorite hand cream to use every night at bedtime.  It's super thick and works wonders on dry, chapped hands this time of year.

Burts Bees Lip Balm- My favorite lip balm- I keep it in my makeup drawer, kitchen drawer, purse... use it all the time.  The original which has a touch of peppermint is my favorite flavor, but I like the ones with just a hint of color too.

Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea- My Mom got me hooked on this tea.  She likes it hot, I like it iced.

Bath and Body Works Concentrated Room Spray- a friend introduced me to these concentrated little bottles years and years ago.  They all smell so good, one squirt is enough for the whole room, and the scent lingers for a long while after it's sprayed.

Original Artwork Printable- This gorgeous downloadable 11x14 original print (as well as other similar ones in her shop) is the perfect gift... the recipient can pop it in a frame and it's ready to hang!

Metallic Kitchen Sponges- A sweet friend recently gave me a gold sparkly kitchen sponge, just because she saw it and thought of me and knew I'd like it (Thank you, D!).  Well, I love it, and how fun to receive something cute that makes doing a daily chore a little more fun!

Regular or Electric Kid's Toothbrush- a staple every year in my kids' stockings!  (Aren't I a fun Mom?)  ;)

Lego Man Soap-  OK, make up for the toothbrush with this one!  I mean, it's a must for any Lego lover, young or old.  This shop also has lots of fun other super hero, Mickey Mouse, Star Wars, and pop culture soap designs.

Texture Spray Wax- A new favorite hair product that my youngest sister introduced me to.  It takes the place of hair spray and really locks your style in place.  A little goes a long way!

Sally Hansen Gel Manicure Topcoat-  When I DO paint my nails, which isn't often, I've been using this top coat for a few years now.  I use whatever color coat I want, then use this clear coat on top.  I think it really does make my manicure last longer than it would with other top coats in the past.

Playing Cards- We play so many card games with our kids, it's always nice to have a new deck!

OK, I'm still finishing up my list, so I'm dying to know what some of YOUR favorite inexpensive stocking stuffers are, too... let me know in the comments.

See you tomorrow with my last Christmas Tour of the season!

  1. Thank you for sharing affordable stocking stuffer ideas! I hadn't thought of playing cards but what a great idea for my son in college!

  2. I like to add Quest Bars or Luna Bars for the workout crowd. I also pick up the small Lego sets found at checkout in Target. They have Starwars themed ones now for less than $4. My husband loves Hickory Farms summer sausage. I also find these at Target and there's always one in his stocking. For men I usually add things like a mini flashlight and Crazy Glue. For some reason it's always a big hit! Batteries too. And of course the chocolate and maybe an apple or an orange. Merry Christmas!!

    2. Isn't it pretty? I have not printed one of Julia's pieces yet but have seen the lovely originals in her home on her blog. When I have printed things like this before, I usually prefer to have them done somewhere like Staples or Office Depot. I feel like for a dollar or two they do a better job than my home printer, and these are a little larger at 11x14, so they can better accommodate that size.

    3. And as far as printing, You can print it different ways. On your home computer, at a printing center or with an online printer. Here are some reviews https://www.etsy.com/shop/Cuckoo4DesignStudio?ref=hdr_shop_menu#reviews
      Hope that helps!
