VALENTINE'S DAY MANTLE

I don't do a lot of decorating for Valentine's Day, but the mantle is always a fun spot to give a little nod to the season.

I still have the green mirror up that I used for my Christmas mantle, but by mixing pinks with it instead of red it looks sweet and fresh for for the holiday.

Actually, several of the same accessories from the Christmas mantle are still there, including the man and woman busts (I told you they were one of my favorites!) and the blue and white ginger jars.

I added my husband's clever, humorous suggestion which is a Star Wars nod to Han and Leia's lines right before Han was frozen in carbonite...

Leia:  "I love you."

Han:  "I know."

Ha!

The 3D heart art that I made a few weeks ago adds another pop of pink and ties the other colors together.

Simple... sweet... a little silly... done!

Do you decorate for Valentine's Day?

  2. I love it, so fun and I adore those two chairs too. Are they a new addition?

  3. I absolutely LOVE it! I too went the route of a non traditional Valentine's Day look and was inspired by one of the greatest romantic literary characters of all time- Mr. Darcy.

  4. This is too fun. You have a gift. If you ever want to do a post on ideas for a sad reader space, I have an arch inside my front door that has no decoration. No use. And I am stumped!

  6. I do not do much decorating for Valentine's other than adding some red accents to my mantle decor, but yours is so cute but not overly cutesy! I love it!
