FRIDAY FAVORITES

Wow, this week flew by!  It helped that it was incredibly busy and that the weather was gorgeous!  It's so much easier to knock out projects when the weather is nice.

Here are a few things that have caught my eye lately.

My favorite DIY in a while... Pam's genius Look for Less DIY 4 Arm Candleabra.  When the $600 version wasn't in her budget (I don't know many people who WOULD have that in their budget for a wooden candleabra!), she pieced together everything to make her own, and it's pretty unbelievable how close it is to the original.  I'm determined to make one (or two!) for myself, and have started gathering my parts and pieces to get it done.

Last week I posted a pic on Instagram of Ray and I on own way to a dinner event, where I wore my Waltzing Matilda skirt.  It was so fun to wear and I received tons of compliments on it!  It will make another appearance at Easter, but I also have my eye on the Brooklyn Skirt from Shabby Apple for some day, how could I refuse?  I also think this one would be super fun for Easter.

I've had reupholstery on the brain recently.  Have you  been following along with Miss Mustard Seed's reupholstery series?  If you ever want to give it a go, might as well learn from the best!

I constantly have a list of things in my head that I keep an eye out for on Craigslist or at thrift stores.  In the last Friday Favorites installment, I showed you a Baker coffee table that I've always wanted to come across.  However, I really like one similar to this one from Home Decorators also.  Brass and glass?  It's a no-brainer.  This one is out of my price range, but I'm considering some options to come up with something similar.  We'll see what comes together.

Finally, did you see Gwen's DIY Coffee Table yesterday?  Yes, I love the funky table, but can we just appreciate this entire scene?  Ah, the stripes, the fiddle leaf fig, the Orangerie pillow, that red velvet tufted sofa... be still my heart!  And y'all, this is the PLAYROOM!  Gwen is making over her new old home one gorgeous step at a time, all on a thrifty budget.  Get all of the details at The Makerista.

Have a great weekend, we're kicking off Spring Break by heading to see Cinderella after school!
