HOW TO SET A PRETTY TABLE- SPRING/EASTER TABLESCAPE

Thank you all so much for your kind words on my Everything Home Magazine feature !  You all are the most supportive and encouraging readers around, and I'm so thankful to have you along on this journey with me! Today I thought you might enjoy seeing how my tables usually come together.  I took some time when assembling this one to take step by step photos of each layer that went on the table. I think that's one of the keys to a pretty table... layers!  I'll elaborate a little on each step- 1) Base-  this can be a runner, tablecloth, placemats, or I'm just using pieces of fabric more and more often.  I decide the size I want the piece to be, then iron the edges under for a crisp, even finish.  Sometimes I use a little bit of masking or painter's tape underneath to hold the edges in place (just make sure to iron first, then tape so your tape doesn't turn into a sticky mess on your fabric).  Sometimes I even have full tablecloths that I'd rat......

CABBAGE WARE BRIGHT AND CHEERY EASTER TABLE

I have no idea what Easter is going to look like this year, I expect quite different than what we're used to.  I do know three things though... on April 12 we'll still be celebrating Jesus' resurrection, He'll still be alive and in control of all things, and we'll still be having a holiday meal together!  Today I'm sharing my bright and cheery Easter table, and although I've had plans with a group of friends for weeks to do a cabbage ware Easter table hop, we discussed whether or not we should still post in light of the seriousness of our current world situation.  We ultimately decided to proceed in hopes that we will bring a bright spot of joy and beauty to your day in the midst of so much uncertainty, fear, and unease.  That will be my plan going forward, as well.  I'll continue to post projects and ideas to hopefully bring you inspiration (since we all have plenty of time at home to finally tackle some of those DIY wish lists, right?) and encourage......

2026 BLUE AND WHITE, BUNNIES, AND BOWS EASTER TABLE

Hello friends, Happy Holy Week! We are hosting our family for Easter lunch this year and I'm looking forward to having a house full! I'm trying to do what prep work I can ahead of time, so having one of the tables already set helps free up more time this weekend.  This year I started with a blue and white tablecloth and loaded the table with bunnies, bows, and all of the Spring-y things for our Easter Table.  I had an idea of the pieces I wanted to gather for the centerpiece and also added in several vintage and special family pieces to use at the place settings.  I wanted to use my new faux grass bunnies as part of the centerpiece and collected a variety of Easter-y things to mix in with them.   Faux Grass Bunnies  || Pink Gingham Ribbon- John Mark's in Memphis but Similar Here I've had this pewter tiered stand for over 20 years, I left off the bottom layer because it was too big and  loaded it up with colorful eggs.   I wanted a pot or two ......

75 SPRING AND EASTER DRESSES

I think most of the country had another cold spell over the past few days, but even so we've had enough warm, sunny days with birds chirping that my thoughts have turned to Spring!  And, with Easter being less than 3 weeks away(!) HIPPITY HOPPITY EASTER TABLE

I have a group of fellow tablescape loving friends on Instagram , and we're all sharing our Easter tables over there today.  So of course, I'm sharing with you here on the blog, too!  I shared the colorful flocked bunnies that I got recently with you last week, and I absolutely had to include them in this year's table.  I hope my Hippity Hoppity Easter Table inspires you with a few ideas you can use in your own home!  I bought a few geranium hanging baskets last weekend to perk up our patio until I get more flowers and ferns, and one of them came in handy for the table!  I removed the hanger and just dropped the pot in a large bowl (actually a milk glass punch bowl) then covered up the exposed edges of the pot with Easter eggs.   Flocked bunnies here , here , or here I walked through At Home the other day and spotted these darling little ducks, I couldn't resist adding them in my Spring Decorations!  They come in an 8" size and a 6" size and a......
