CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE REFRESH: THE DINING ROOM REVEAL!

Oh happy day, the Dining Room is finished, and I have the blisters and hot glue gun burns to prove it!  If you follow me on Instagram you've walked through many of these projects with me, so without further adieu, here's the Dining Room reveal!

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE REFRESH: THE DINING ROOM PROGRESS

You guys.  This is truly a Dining Room progress report today, I don't have one thing finished for this space yet!  However, lots of things are in the works so I'll show you what I've been up to and where we are.  (If you missed my "Before" and plans with design board last week, go ahead and catch up here.)

BLUE AND WHITE BANQUET TABLE CENTERPIECES

You all might know that I periodically decorate tables for large events at our church.  I always try to share those with you since I know that some of you do the same for various activities.  And, even searching Pinterest, it can be tricky to find simple centerpiece ideas that aren't too extravagant or expensive when you're working on a lot of tables.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE REFRESH: THE DINING ROOM PLAN

I'm so excited to be spilling the beans about a new project that kicks off today!  I'm joining a fabulous group of talented, sweet bloggers that are working over the next few weeks to each refresh a space in their home.  Everyone is choosing whatever space they want to work on, hence the "Choose Your Own Adventure Refresh" theme!  (Anyone else remember those books? They were a childhood favorite of mine!)  Today, each of us will be sharing the space we plan to take on, as well as some before photos and our plans for the room.  Next week, we'll share our progress, and at the end of the month we'll share the reveal.  Whew!  This is a quick one!

For the next two weeks I'm going to be working feverishly to refresh my......   DINING ROOM!  Here's how the space looked on Monday just before I set the table for Valentine's Day:

PINK AND RED VALENTINE'S DAY TABLESCAPE

Sticking with one of my favorite color combos, I built this year's Valentine's Day tablescape around a pink and red color scheme (which I used last year too, can't get enough!)

VALENTINE'S DAY PORCH AND MANTEL DECORATIONS

Happy Saturday!  I never post projects on Saturdays, but I just decorated for Valentine's Day yesterday and didn't want to wait any longer to share in case you're doing a bit of decorating this weekend too!  I typically don't put up a lot of decorations for Valentine's day, I just add a few touches to key areas- the mantel and the front porch- to make the house feel festive.  I picked up a few things from Dollar Tree and had some things from Hobby Lobby on hand, and in less than an hour yesterday I had a few new pieces made and up!

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES- VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT IDEAS

With Valentine's Day less than a week away, I figured I'd better get on the ball and get some gift planning (and buying!) done.  Honestly, Valentine's Day seems to sneak up so quickly after Christmas that it's always a little bit hard to shop for. So, today I'm sharing five of our favorite things if you're fresh out of ideas... a few for her and a few for him!
