MY FIVE FAVORITES: FABRICS

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments on our patio reveal yesterday!  We are thrilled to be enjoying it and broadening our hospitality efforts by sharing it with others, and are just so thankful for such a comfortable and cozy outdoor space!   My blog friends  Pam of  Simple Details ,  Lisa of  Shine Your Light ,  Kris of  Driven by Decor   and I  are back today (and the first Tuesday of every month) for this month's feature of My Favorite Five.  Today we're sharing our favorite fabrics!  Oh... where do I even start?     This month we are so happy to have Sarah from  Life on Virginia Street  as our special guest.  I've enjoyed following Sarah for several years now, and know her to be a fellow fabric lover! BLOGGER STYLIN' HOME TOURS SUMMER EDITION- PATIO REVEAL!

Today marks the beginning of one of the best weeks of the year... another round of Blogger Stylin' Home Tours!  I've participated in this series for several years, and it's seriously always a favorite. If you found your way here from  Eclectically Vintage , welcome!  Many thanks to my sweet friend Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co.  for inviting my to be part of this tour once again. Almost exactly a year ago, we started the process of a big patio makeover.  The major work wrapped up earlier this Spring, but it took me a little while to get everything just how I wanted it, and I wanted everything to be pretty and green outside, so I thought today would be the perfect day to show you around our new outdoor living space.  Links to all of the posts in the patio makeover series, as well as all sources are listed at the end of this post. CREATING AN OUTDOOR MOBILE SUMMER HANG OUT PLAY AREA

(How's that for a mouthful of adjectives for a title?  I wasn't sure what to call this space!) We entertain pretty often in our home.  We have a fairly open layout for housing everyone, an extra play/bonus room, and a big new patio (full reveal coming next week!).  Even with all of those options, more times than not, everyone ends up hanging around in the garage and on the driveway, centered around the ping pong table and basketball goal. Our garage is definitely not company worthy, but family looks past the craigslist and garage sale hoard to watch the rivalry play out.  As we begin summer, I'm anticipating the kids having friends over often, too, who will be utilizing that space as well.  So, rather than pulling out the camping chairs as usual, I wanted to create a good sitting area for everyone to gather. However, since all the action takes place around the driveway, I couldn't outfit it with lots of furniture that would permanently stay there.  ......
