Hey there, friends! Sorry the posts have been slim this week, I've got a few things going on with life and that little One Room Challenge thing is keeping me busy... be sure to check in on Thursday to see my plans for the room! Today I'm popping in quickly to share a reader's space with you that I was so impressed with. She loved my Entry so much that she replicated it for herself, down to the almost identical accessories! She said she still plans to add gold trim to the lamps like mine and is waiting for a striped rug to come in. She even looked for the elephant plant stand like mine, but they were out so she got the camel (which I might like even more than the elephant, he's pretty cute!). Thank you, Alex, for sharing your Entry with me. I'm glad my home inspired you to create a space that you love, that's why I do what I do! If anyone else has been inspired by one of my projects or spaces, I'd love to see photos from you, too! ...

ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: POWDER BATH {WEEK 1}
This time one year ago I was beginning my very first One Room Challenge , where I made over my Master Bedroom. It was packed full of second hand finds and DIY projects, and honestly... just about wore me out!! I think it's taken this full year to recover. ;) But boy, was it worth it! It still feels brand new and I enjoy waking up and going to bed in that space every single day. I hadn't really thought I would participate this round, but when it came down to it couldn't bring myself to miss out on the fun, and get a makeover in the process! I'm grateful to Linda from Calling It Home, the creator of the One Room Challenge for encouraging us all to complete a room from start to finish in just 6 weeks- or a least get it in better shape than it was when we started! I'm quite certain most of you have never seen this room in my home before... Our Powder Bath. And really, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the room. But if you're o......

MY FIVE FAVORITES: PILLOWS!
My blog friends Pam of Simple Details , Lisa of Shine Your Light , Kris of Driven by Decor and I are back today (and the first Tuesday of every month) for this month's feature of My Favorite Five. Today we're sharing something near and dear to all of our hearts... our favorite pillow projects! We are thrilled to have KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms as our guest for this month's MFF. I had a short encounter with KariAnne at Haven (a blogging conference) two years ago while we waited on an elevator, and I can assure you she is every bit as genuine, sweet, and charming in real life as she appears to be in the virtual world. And, I can't say that sometimes I'm not just a teensy bit jealous of her family's decision to pack it all up, leave the city life, and move to a house in the country. Be sure to stop by and say hello to KariAnne, and tour her gorgeous farmhouse. We added one little twist to this......

FUNCTION OVER FORM: BOY'S BEDROOM REDESIGN
I can't believe it's been 2 years since we finished up my son's bedroom. With that makeover, we moved him up from a twin mattress to a full size, and my symmetry-loving self jumped at the chance to build everything around his focal wood wall , while getting all of the pieces balanced just right. Well, turns out the new arrangement wasn't working very well for his needs. His room is t-i-n-y, and the full size bed took up most of the space. We re-evaluated (and realized he only slept on half of the bed anyway), and decided it would be best to move him back down to a twin size in order to gain some precious floor space back. This wasn't a change I wanted, but I had to take a big gulp and swallow my need for a balanced design and make his room more usable for him . In addition to moving him to a twin size, we also opted for a loft bed. He had one when he was young and loved it (I hated it-changing the sheets and making a loft bed if a royal pain!). ......

FRIDAY FAVORITES
This week has completely flown by for me, but I'm so glad it's Friday anyway! And April 1 (April Fools!) at that... anyone have any great tricks planned? No tricks here, just some Friday reading for you that I hope you'll love! *If you'd like to pin any of these wonderful projects, please click once on the link given and pin from the original source. Thanks so much! Brynne at The Gathered Home has created a marvelous series focused on vintage finds called The ABC's of Gathering . She's taking each letter of the alphabet one by one and sharing a post full of gorgeous decor inspiration based on that letter. Another thing that I like so much about this series is that Brynne has really taken the time to educate the reader in each installment on the theme for the week. I'm learning something new with each post! So far, Brynne has shared A is for Art, B is for Brass, C is for Chinoiserie, and D is for Dine. I'm also honored that Brynn......
