IT'S NOT TOO SOON...

This post is sponsored by The Lakeside Collection.  All words and opinions are 100% mine. My kids said something the other day that made my heart skip a little beat...Christmas is 3 months away. 80 days to be exact!  Recently I was contacted by the  Lakeside Collection  to share some great Christmas present ideas with you.  Here are some of my favorites things that I found on their website: This "Santa Key" has a note explaining how Santa gets in to houses without chimneys, and then leaves his key hanging on the tree when he leaves.  Too cute! EARLY FALL TABLESCAPE

Since the dining room was all cleaned up and looking good, I couldn't resist setting a pretty table!  I like to think of this as an "Early Fall" table, with just subtle hints of the season.  Keeping true to my norm, I used everything I already had for this table, with a few exceptions.  After I spotted them, my parents bought me these polka dot salad plates for my birthday, so those are new.  (PS, they're from Target, although I've only seen them at Super T.)  I thought they were very Kate Spade-ish, and I know they'll get lots of use around here! I cleaned out my pantry last weekend and came across a bag of peanuts in the shell, and knew immediately that I wanted to use them on the table.  You know, so our friends can sit around munching on them after the meal while we......

MY DINING ROOM

Well first off, let me thank you for all of your kind comments here, on Facebook, and Instagram yesterday!  Between the new blog design and the Good Housekeeping feature , you all sure know how to pile on the compliments!  Thank you, thank you very much.  Today, I'm so happy to show you my finally finished Dining Room!  Many of you have been with me through all of the work on this room.  I just checked, and my first post about this re-do was in March of 2012, but I had sold all of our DR furniture a good 6 months before that.  Whew!  I took my time, waited for bargains on the pieces I wanted, and almost everything here was a DIY project.  So, I don't have a lot to say today, I'll just show you the result! I just refinished the table that I bought from my parents before they would have painted it and sold it in their booth.  It is old and the legs were already somewhat chippy, but I helped them along a little more wi......
