Welcome to My Five Favorites today! A chill is in the air, pumpkins are out in full force, and Pam from Simple Details, Kris from Driven by Decor and I are all so excited to share our favorite Fall essentials with you today (our friend Lisa from Shine Your Light is unable to join us this month)!
We are so excited to welcome Laura from Duke Manor Farm as our guest host this month. Laura and her family have worked for years building their dream home and property, and it's the most idyllic setting! That big porch is just perfect for cozy mornings and leisurely evenings, and loading up with amazing seasonal decor. In the past few years they've been working on the pool and surrounding landscaping and all of their hard work has paid off with their own little live-in retreat to enjoy!

LANTERNS
A few lanterns are a great investment for seasonal decor, they easily transition to Christmas and are actually great to have year round. (click left or right arrows to toggle for more choices)
POM POM BEANIE HAT
I love, love, love this hat. It's soft and has a cute shape. I actually have a couple (one without a pom too) and wear them almost daily through the colder weather. When super cold temps hit I wear it around the house, even if I'm not going anywhere. It's amazing how keeping your head warm keeps your whole body warmer!
Faux Fur Pom Pom Beanie (lots of colors) || Same Hat- no pom pom
LEOPARD MULES
I've talked about them on here before, but now that I've had my leopard mules for a few months I can't tell you how much I wear them! They're the perfect shoes for right now when I want to have my toes covered but the temperature is still mild. And, you know as far as I'm concerned, leopard is a neutral so I truly wear them with almost anything. Mine are no longer available, but these and these are very close.
Black Raw Edge Distressed Jeans || Necklace no longer available- similar turquoise necklace (it's a bargain!) || Black tunic- not current
Here are some other similar options as well-
And since they're in both pictures too, these are my absolute favorite jeans! They're affordable and come in tons of sizes, colors, and finishes. They stretch just a bit as you wear them so it's ok if they're a little snug when you first put them on. I like the mid-rise best for a little extra support. ;)
CROCK-POT WITH STOVETOP INSERT
I bought this Crock-Pot with Stovetop Insert last year, and it's so handy! To me, the whole point of cooking with a crock-pot is dumping all of the ingredients in and having dinner ready some hours later. However, there are so many recipes that call for browning meat first that getting more pans dirty totally defeats the purpose for me. This crock-pot has a metal, non stick insert that you can use on the stove to brown your meat, then drop it right into the base and set it to cook the rest of the day. The only thing I've had to get used to is the insert gets much hotter than a regular stoneware crock since it's metal- don't touch it unprotected!
COZY THROWS
I use several coordinated throws around the house draped on furniture... handy as an accessory and a blanket especially as the days become cooler.
However, whenever we really want to snuggle up, soft fleece blankets are our favorites. We particularly like the super soft, fun patterned micro-fleece throws from Vera Bradley (we have an outlet nearby).
Here are a few favorite throws from our home:
