20 AMAZON FAVORITES FROM THIS PAST YEAR- ON SALE FOR PRIME DAY!

Hi friends!  Before I get in to sharing a few Amazon Prime Day picks today,  I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind comments on my last post.  You all are so encouraging and I can't tell you how grateful I am for such a sweet group of readers!  I will keep you posted on any developments there in the weeks to come, but for now we are taking some time to travel.  We were scheduled to start a big road trip this week- working our way north through the Grand Tetons and then Yellowstone to spend time with a park ranger friend there, then heading on up to Glacier and back home.  However, the shutdown caused us to pivot and save those plans for another time, so now were headed to the beach and then the Great Smoky Mountains area.  The beach is our only set plan so far, but we plan to drive north towards the Asheville area then work our way back west across I-40 towards home.  Haven't made any plans or reservations yet for that part of the trip other than wanting to explore the Biltmore of course, and I want to make a stop to see John Mark's shop in Germantown TN on the way home.  Other than that we're figuring it out as we go, feel free to leave any suggestions for us to check out!

I worked on getting this together yesterday while we were driving but wasn't able to wrap it up until this morning.  But, there's one more day to shop the Prime sale so here are some things that I've purchased within the last year that are on sale and I would recommend.  These were on sale as I published, so hopefully everything is still sale priced but those can randomly change.  If you'd like to see more my Amazon shop is almost 100% things I've bought over the years and would recommend, I don't load it with a lot of random stuff so there are some deals in there as well.

I bought a few sets of these battery operated star string lights to use last Christmas, they're so cute!

I use these remote control outlet switches every day!  I currently have the lamps on my mantel plugged in to one and a lamp that's tricky to turn on and off.  All it takes is a quick click of the remote to operate them all.  I use even more at Christmas with alllll the things that need to be plugged in.

OK y'all, this might be my favorite thing in the whole list!  I randomly stumbled on this gingham ruffle trim button up shirt last week and decided to give it a try, my expectations were pretty low.  However, I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with it when it arrived!  The cotton fabric is great, the fit is good, and it comes in several colors. I got the green but am now adding the brown and red to my cart too... actually every color is fantastic so it's hard to choose!

I haven't shared this with you yet but I got it a while back and think it's the prettiest block print tablecloth.  I think I'll probably use this for my Thanksgiving table this year, but so good for any occasion.  There are several different colors, patterns, and sizes.

I ordered a few new tops for Emily last week, and before she took them back to school with her I borrowed this black and white one to wear for a gathering with friends.  It's so cute with the rick rack trim and it's under $17!  Fabric is easy care, wash and wear and would be great for travel. Several colors, I'm in a M.

Last year I bought this set but it's been unavailable ever since so I've kept an eye out for something similar to share with you.  This set has the same top as mine though (my pants are striped too instead of solid like the one I'm linking) and I've enjoyed wearing it as a lounge set. Cute colors and a nice price for the set!

I've been looking for a new bra- the absolute worst thing to shop for, right?!?  I tried 3 wireless styles recently, 2 of them were immediately returned but this one is a winner. It gives a smooth, seamless fit and still has nice support.  I'll definitely be ordering another one.

Ray likes these whitening strips and he's been out so they've been on my list. This deal is a way better price than anything we checked in stores for the number of treatments, I snagged a box for him quick!  I like this brand for myself, I don't have any issues with sensitivity when using them.

I bought a set of these clear storage drawers early this year to organize under my bathroom sink.  I love them and wish I had been using them a long time ago.  They are stackable and fit a surprising amount in the drawers, I love being able to see exactly what's in each section.

I've been using this straightener since New Years, it's how I curl my hair (ironically!). It heats up lightning fast, has adjustable settings and my curl lasts for days.

I shared these recently in a FFF, they are my favorite supportive flip flops.  I have two colors and wear them every day around the house if not out and about. Crazy good deal for how substantial they are!

This is a cute and comfy little set of pjs, love the ruffle  on the hem of the shorts.

I have never diffused any oils in my home, but I tried one recently that my friend Amy recommended and we really like it!  I bought this small bottle to try it out, then grabbed the large one on sale to refill as needed.  My friend Terri recommended this diffuser and it's what I've been using- it's rechargeable and has a variety of time and strength settings.  I've been using it for a while and haven't had to refill the small bottle yet, so I'd say it lasts a while!

This clothes steamer has a handle that folds for easy travel, puts out a good amount of steam and works great with no drips.  Love it!

Taking me back to my Jr. High/High School days in the late 80s, rugby style shirts are once again all the rage!  I couldn't help grabbing this one for nostalgia's sake.  I really like the fabric and sz. M was a comfortable fit for me.  It takes a bit to arrive but worth it, lots of colors!

As I mentioned we are doing some traveling this month and I got this small rechargeable puck light lantern.  But the cool thing is, it's also a string of mini led lights!  Super handy for camping or just in your back yard, there is a variety of light modes that can be white or colored. I even used it when I was working in the car last night when I didn't want to turn on the big overhead light.  Good buy!

Another thing I shared recently for FFF was this dress, but wanted to include it because it's the best little dress under $20.  The fabric is soft and a scuba type knit, I preferred sizing up for a looser fit as shown on the model.  It's currently packed with my things to wear on a trip!

Here are more of my personal purchases from the past year that I would recommend, all on sale!

  1. Jennifer, When you are in the mountains of North Carolina you should visit Highlands and Blowing Rock. James Farmer has a home in Highlands and the area is also known for its beautiful waterfalls. The Christmas decorations should be going up at Biltmore. I don't watch many Hallmark movies but I did watch one a couple of years ago called a Biltmore Christmas that I really enjoyed. Sarah Loudin Thomas is a North Carolina Christian author who wrote the book, These Tangled Threads. It takes place in Asheville during the time period of the Vanderbilt's daughter's wedding. North Carolina is beautiful from our mountains to our coast. I am so glad you are coming for a visit! I wish I lived closer to the mountains so I could maybe catch a glimpse of you. You are just fabulous and my daughters and I just love your style. I can't wait to read about your trip! Have a great time!
