In true Oklahoma fashion, the forecast early in the week of the party predicted highs in the 40s that day... miserable for entertaining outdoors!\u0026nbsp; So, we quickly scrambled and thankfully a room was available at the church that would accommodate us.\u0026nbsp; We transferred our general ideas indoors and packed everything up to make it happen!\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cspan style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\n\u003Cspan style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003EEntertaining Tip:\u0026nbsp; We used \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/32rF09I\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Estrings of white lights\u003C\/a\u003E and oversized balloons hanging from the ceiling, and a black, white, and gold mix for the color palette.\u0026nbsp; The large balloons were supposed to be round, but by the time they're inflated enough to reach their intended size they are the tear drop shape.\u0026nbsp; :(\u0026nbsp; Hard to tell from the photos but it still was a nice effect though.\u0026nbsp; The tissue paper puffs on the light strings are disguising some of the plugs where multiple strings were connected together.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; The star of the decorations was the giant \"50\" that my sister fashioned out of cardboard, sprayed gold and then glued on gold glitter,\u0026nbsp; then her husband poked holes in it and threaded them with an LED light string. \u003Ci\u003EBut,\u003C\/i\u003E I got an egg cooker earlier this year and it's been a hard-boiled egg life changer!\u0026nbsp; No matter the method I tried, half of the time when boiling in a pot the shell would always stick to the egg and make peeling a nightmare, not to mention awful looking deviled eggs!\u0026nbsp; With the egg cooker, I have not had difficulty peeling an egg ONE TIME!\u0026nbsp; And, all of the guess work of timing for hard, medium, or soft boiled eggs is totally taken out with the handy water measuring cup.\u0026nbsp; I moved one to the front door and tied on this cute pineapple sign also from \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2c3xslx\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EAt Home.\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp; I was looking for something cute to add to the wreath, and this- the symbol of hospitality- couldn't have been more perfect (and it was already pink!).\u0026nbsp; These double ball boxwood topiaries are perfect for the porch and add such a happy pop of \u003Ci\u003Eno maintenance\u003C\/i\u003E color.\u0026nbsp; When I shared them on Instagram a follower commented that she's had the same ones for almost a year on her porch in full sun and they still look perfect... \u003Ci\u003Eyay!!\u003C\/i\u003E They have a nice, heavy, smaller base but I dropped them in \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.dimplesandtangles.com\/2014\/05\/diy-black-and-white-striped-pots.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Emy DIY pots\u003C\/a\u003E that I've had for several years to add some pattern to the porch.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; I always enjoy walking the whole store looking for things in my colors and style (if you've ever been you know they have something for everyone and every style!) and I came across the blue metal cane patterned lanterns in the Spring outdoor aisles.\u0026nbsp; I missed them in their sea of florals the first time around, but finally found them and think they look very realistic.\u0026nbsp; Then, I came across some faux lemon tree stems and knew I needed to mix in a few of those too!\u0026nbsp;
