How in the world you manage to mix a patterns in a room and use such bold color is beyond me and I am simply amazed. I love the name, its cute and catching, one I've never forgotten. I used your blog as a starting point when my last computer dies and I lost all my "favorites" and to start from the beginning. Slowly I have recovered my list by using your list. I love the seasonal decor, your faith, your black & white combined with bright colors & patterns, and also love the name of your blog (wouldn't change it)! I love seeing the kids & hubby, too because as another comment said, it helps us get to know you. I like seeing fashion occasionally (esp the accessories: totes, purses, jewelry) but am more into the home decor! Overall, I hope you don't change much! it's an amazing blog as it is!!! However, there are two things I would like to see you add: 1) Would love to see something on your time-management, how do you manage all the beautiful home decorataing/DIY's while being a Mom & a wife to a pastor, & write an awesome blog! Would love to learn any of your time-management tips/tricks! also, would love to see a "Day in the Life of Jennifer" post. 2) Would love to see your storage tips for storing holiday home decor and just extra decorating items. Do you store in closets, out in garage, etc.? Thanks for your wonderful blog! It makes my day! We moved into a new house a year ago and nothing is on the walls still! But I LOVE seeing your blog, your home, your ideas. It's inspiring. I see your gingham powder bath walls and wonder "Would I ever have the guts to do that?!" The day, if it ever comes, that you decide that you want to make a go of decorating others' homes (or you run out of projects at your own home!), come over to mine! (I live in Edmond!) I love how you balance bold and colorful with comfortable and livable.

I'm not a huge fan of travel posts but I do like the occasional fashion posts. And I don't mind the affiliate links because I often like one or two pieces (often basic staples) and love to have the chance to buy them. I can't carry around pictures in my purse when I'm out shopping; plus, I'm of the "Internet buying" generation so I love "click, buy, deliver to my house." But I agree with others, stay true to your mostly home-related posts with a potpourri of other topics sprinkled in. (For example, I really enjoyed the posts from the recent home tour in Quail Creek.)

I don't love sponsored posts (speaking from a few other blogs I read). They don't have the same feel as unsponsored posts.

And, I really love your 5 favorites series (example, your 5 favorite fabrics, paint colors, etc.)!!

Keep it up! I just want to say that I "ditto" the comments about fashion blogging (not in favor of). Occasional posts have been appreciated, but I hope you don't make them a regular feature on your blog. That's just my opinion. I also "ditto" the comments made regarding how your blog provides real life decorating ideas and DIY. Please don't make any major changes as you and your blog are wonderful as they are. You are so successful because of the existing style, writing and decorating advice. Many beautiful blog ladies take way too many pictures of the same outfit, maybe they think more highly of themselves than they should. It is the quickest way to get me to back out of a blog. A Christian woman should be humble, and you seem to fit that description. Also, be careful changing blog format. Many blogs become hard to navigate when changed. Another reason for quitting a blog. Your home is unique and colorful. Not like the BORING grey and white farmhouse look. Keep up the good work. There is a reason your following is growing. Also, LOVE the name. I can think of two blogs that changed their name and I can't ever remember their new name. Again, no more following. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7500450738339997116.post-43904740847453687862016-08-18T08:29:47.325-05:002016-08-18T08:29:47.325-05:00I know what you mean about the commissions and all...I know what you mean about the commissions and all the work you put into finding those things, but to be honest, that's your CHOICE to take all that time to search for these products. A lot of blogs readers don't ask for bloggers to search out products. If a blogger plans to post about a room redo they've done, then by all means tell the readers where the products came from that you are showing in pictures. But if bloggers plan a post about a room that they haven't done, and spend the hours sourcing it simply for a blog post, that was the bloggers choice. The readers didn't ask for that - the blogger chose that topic for that day's post. So in my mind, searching out and spending time to find products in order to create a post is the bloggers choice. So that's where I find it hard to wrap my brain around why it's fair to receive a commission from it. I don't know - I used to blog. It was a hobby, and I enjoyed it. I never even had ads on my blog, because as a reader, too, I found them to be annoying. I just think the overall downfall of blogs in general is when bloggers started trying to make them into businesses and receiving compensation for posts/affiliate links/sponsored posts. I might be in the minority, but I think it's a shame as the blog world has just changed over the last 10 years that I've really been a part of the community. :/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7500450738339997116.post-25522245065532002152016-08-18T08:15:07.057-05:002016-08-18T08:15:07.057-05:00Jennifer, I absolutely adore your blog and look fo...Jennifer, I absolutely adore your blog and look forward to seeing it in my inbox every day! Many of your projects have inspired mine and encouraged me to take that first step on some of the bigger ideas! In fact, your blog is one that inspired me to start my own. Subsequently at the same time I started an Interior Design business w/ a college friend and between that and a family the blog fell to the waste side. As of late I have been wishing it hadn't and am thinking about starting back up again. Like you, I started blogging to inspire, share my ideas & tip and trick with others, but it was also a creative outlet. Thank you for bringing color to my days and, as of late, my home! I also have to agree with some of the other commenters that endless pop ups and endless ads that take so much time to load that they freeze my computer are horrible. You don't have that problem and I hope you avoid it. I totally understand the desire to make money, but there are blogs I no longer read because they are so loaded with ads it makes it almost impossible to get the page to load in a timely manner, not to mention having to remove the ad on every single photo, the ads that drop down from the top, the ads that pop up from the bottom and the suddenly ubiquitous "please sign up for emails" pop up that covers the page. By the time I (try to) close all the ads I have wasted a ton of time and usually become so frustrated I just close the page. There has to be a better way.
