FALL HOME TOUR 2018- DINING ROOM, LIVING ROOM, AND BREAKFAST NOOK

Hello, welcome to part 2 of my Fall Home Tour!  Today I'll be showing you around the Dining Room, Living Room, and Breakfast Nook.  If you missed part 1 of the tour, stop by here to check out my Fall Porch and Entry.  This year's Fall decorations can be summed up in a few words... simple, colorful, and playful!  (*This post may contain affiliate links, read my full disclosure policy here.)

We'll start in the Dining Room today.  One staple of this year's decorations is simple painted pumpkins in unexpected Fall colors, I scattered and grouped them everywhere!

After rearranging a bit for Fall, my busts didn't really have a spot to land so I grouped them all together on the table.  They're usually scattered out here and there but I think this is my favorite way to display them.

Moving into the Living Room, there's still not a hint of traditional Fall colors, but I warmed things up a bit with moodier pillows and animal print.

Sputnik Light  ||  Vintage Coffee Table- similar here  ||  Bamboo Shades

I spotted that green printed fabric earlier this year in a fabric store, and haven't been able to stop thinking about it!  When I added in the pink diamond pillows for Fall, I knew the green would be a perfect complementing print and that the leopard would play well with the two as well.  Regardless of the bolder colors, it's definitely not Fall around here without some leopard print!

Most of the faux pumpkins are from Walmart with a few slightly larger ones mixed in from Hobby Lobby.  I used various colors of leftover spray paint to paint them (see my trick for painting them quickly here).  I can't believe my garden roses are still going strong, too bad this photo isn't scratch and sniff.  ;)

The side table between the sofas holds our Fall candy dish necessities... mellow creme pumpkins and a candy corn/peanut mix (please tell me you've tried it!).

Tassel Charm (it's a steal!)

Continuing the simple Fall theme, I added some standing wheat bunches and a few more patterned pumpkins to the mantel.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw these pillows from At Home here earlier this Summer.  All along I thought they were perfect to use for Fall and the holidays.  I have a stash of these colorful pom poms that I added to the corners with a tiny drop of hot glue, I can remove them with virtually no harm done later if I want to.

Leather Recliner  ||  Striped Blanket- Ikea

This happy little corner with my curbside vintage chest find was fun to put together.  I use that large gold frame a variety of different ways, often I have a chalkboard panel inside it.  I wanted to make the wheat wreath a little more substantial on the wall, so I had the thought to hang it over the frame.  I took the chalkboard panel out, flipped it over to the back side, and applied a light coat of spray adhesive before covering it with a piece of wrapping paper (Hobby Lobby).  It was the perfect backing to really make the wreath stand out.

Lastly, here's a peek at our Breakfast Nook off of the kitchen.  It's got alllll the patterns and colors, and I couldn't like it more!

Again, colorful pumpkins in a bowl for the centerpiece win, and I flanked it with some striped taper candles from Hobby Lobby.  I made the leopard table runner (no sew!) several years ago and with the colorful tassels on the end it fit in perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed my tour today, and even though I don't rush through Thanksgiving it makes me excited that Christmas decorating is coming up soon!

    1. Thank you! I did not include it, but here's a link to that DIY project. FYI, the exact book I used for the prints wildly fluctuates in price for some reason, but there are lots of good botanical books you could use. All of the details and products I used are in this post-

  4. First off I'm in love with the pillows, especially the green one. The colorful pumpkins are so fun. They make me smile. I immediately ordered the pom-pom tassel pictured on your brass lamp. Yes it is a steal. I haven't been able to decorate for Fall because of the surgery but I'm hoping Christmas is going to be spectacular.

  5. Thanks for the tour! Everything is great, so YOU! Which I love. I might try my hand at making a leopard runner, I can['t sew but could do this! Thanks for the tutorial. Thanks too, for always providing links. I am asking for 2 of the leopard pillows for Christmas! Now I'll go see part 1:)

  7. It's so refreshing to see bold colors and pattern mixing. Completely neutral spaces are taking over Instagram and Pinterest, but I just can't get into it. It takes skill to mix a lot of different colors and elements and yet achieve a cohesive home. I love how it all works together, and it gives your home so much personality! Thanks for the inspiration.
