FRIDAY FAVORITES

What's better than Friday, unless it's the Friday of a holiday weekend?!?  Let's get this party started!

I shared our Fourth of July table with you yesterday, and this salad would fit right in with the color scheme.  It also looks delicious!  Holiday or not, I'm adding this one to my salad rotation for sure!

Click over to find out why Erin Spain and her family rented a herd of goats...(yes, rented a herd of goats!!)  An entertaining and informative post, compete with a video of Pedro and friends!

An impressive kitchen before and after.

You guys know what a pom pom nut I am.  Julia shared a post with 3 pom pom making tips, and I learned a thing or two!  She had some great suggestions that I hope you'll check out.  (I just shared Julia's mirror in Friday Favorites a few weeks ago, but I couldn't help telling you about this post, too!)

Finally, I can't believe it, but I've been blogging for almost 5 years now.  I thought it would be fun to revisit an old post here and there that you might not have seen previously unless you are a die hard reader that's been here since the beginning (and if you have, THANK YOU!!).  :)   It's likely that the photos aren't great and things around the house are probably a lot different than they are today, but that just shows improvement, right???

How about a flash back to our breakfast nook in early 2012?  I think EVERYTHING but the table and curtains is different now, but I liked that space back then!  I still like the idea of a settee pulled up to the table, and even though my style has changed I liked the shutters flanking the mirror to help fill the large wall space.  You can see a shot of it now in yesterday's post... just a bit different!  ;)

And, I'll leave you with that!  Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

  1. Just read the blog with the great looking salad for the Fourth. A suggestion for the Poppyseed dressing that has soooo much sugar is Skinny Girl Poppyseed Dressing which is Fat Free AND Sugar Free and tastes wonderful!! Oh, 2Tbsp. is only 10 calories!

  2. Happy 4th! Too funny about the goats, I have a colleague who hired some to clean up his yard and he and his wife ended up getting two of their own. If I could figure out a way to get them to my house I would. Love the link to the kitchen reveal especially seeing the Ikea cabinets, I am beginning to think they might be the route I take. I am partial to your current breakfast nook but if you had never changed it I think I would like it just as well. Thanks for sharing your lovely home, recipes and of course to your fellow bloggers.
