MY SECRET PROJECT

What a whirlwind of a weekend...literally!  We kicked it off on Friday with another round of severe weather.  Our kids were spending the night with their grandparents, so although we were separated they were safe in a storm cellar with their cousins.  The power was out when they surfaced and remained that way for the rest of their stay, so they had quite a memorable sleepover with lots of candles burning and card games!  Once again, we are so sorry that lives were lost in the storm and subsequent flooding, and continually have those families and other victims of loss in our thoughts and prayers.

For about 6 months I've had a BIG little project stashed in the garage waiting for it's time to come.  Well, with the help of some reinforcements in the family, we got a jump on it over the weekend.  We still have some hurdles to cross until we reach the finish line, but here's a few hints of what we're up to.

  5. Well, it appears as though there are predominantly white cabinets, islands, beautiful ceiling beams and lanterns!! :) I suspect there is definitely something to do with lanterns.

My prayers continue for the entire state of Oklahoma. I am so sorry that the horrific storms just keep pounding the same areas. :( Glad your family is ok!

Cause your last photo looks more like a light fixture than something you could turn into a kitchen island !!
