So, mattress shopping is in our near future. Now, I consider myself a pretty savvy shopper, but we are NO GOOD at choosing mattresses! When we first married almost 19 years ago, we bought the best mattress our $350 could get, and it lasted almost 10 years. Since then, we've been through 4 other mattress sets. We purchased a couple of them at Sam's, and returned the first set after a few months because it didn't hold up well and we both rolled towards the middle. The next set wasn't much better, so after a time we went to a "real" mattress store and the salesman convinced us to buy a mattress that "never needed flipping." After a short time, there were definite impressions that we could do nothing about because we couldn't flip the mattress over to even them back out. Our current mattress is just ok, but it's time for something new.
Shopping for a mattress is SO hard...one can't fully try it out and know how it will be in the long run while lying on it in the store in front of everyone for 2 minutes. And, how do you find a good one that won't cost a small fortune? And, how do you choose between a bajillion features and choices of material?
