Christmas 2011 Home Tour

Are you tired of looking at holiday decor yet?  I hope not...at least until after you finish this post!  I decided to lump everything I haven't shown you in one final post, so get ready for a lot of pictures.  I won't talk much, so just grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

Go here to see a closer look of the tree.

Fur covered letters...one thing checked off of my craft to-do list!

Our built-ins house a collection of nativities.  The one on the bottom is made out of olive wood and was a gift to us after my husband's parents visited Bethlehem.

I love Sunday School crafts so much...this one is a "NUT-tivity."  Isn't it adorable?  All the characters are-you guessed it-made from nuts and the baby Jesus is a little acorn.  The cotton balls are sheep.

This snowy bird scene was inspired by the pages of Better Homes and Gardens.  See more projects inspired by the magazine here

Quite possibly my favorite decoration this year...

Or maybe this one is.  I'm not sure what these are called but all of the nativity characters are represented on different levels.  Found this at a yard sale while vacationing in Angel Fire, NM.  The couple told me that it came from their son when he was stationed in Germany.

Go here to see more of my mantel.

Vintage ornaments on a little tree in the kitchen.

Kitchen table-go here to see how I made my Pottery Barn knock-off stocking pillow.

This boot arrangement was inspired by Kim at Savvy Southern Style, who was inspired by her Ballard Designs catalog.  Visit her blog sometime...you'll love it!

Another check on my Christmas Craft to-do list!

I'll be linking up with The Inspired Room, Alamode, and The Nester at Nesting Place.  Come join the fun!

  10. It's no doubt all of this is beautiful, but from one mommy to another, my absolute FAVORITE is the nutivity. That is hilarious and so sweet. Our house dons a few church Sunday school projects like that. My favorite is this awkward looking tissue paper angel my daughter made when she was four. I absolutely have to display it, but its kind of strange looking (is that horrible? Haha.)

Found your blog though The Inspired Room. So glad I did! ;)

  11. Following now!...but just wanted to say that b/c it's kinda cute that I'm #79 since that's when I was born. ;) (Oops...a woman should never tell her age, right? I don't follow that rule. Haha.)
